This video mostly compares two different Federal slugs that have the same velocity and weight.   But we also thought it would be interesting to wrap the ballistic gel in different materials that viewers suggested to us.   The differences between the two slugs were subtle.

No hype! This might be the most brutal 12ga. slug yet

Today we test out a slug called the "Twister".   It is a heavy lead slug that fragments into multiple,   large pieces on impact.   You may remember tests of Twisters with up to 6 petals,  and they worked well.   But there seemed to be a HUGE difference when the petals are large like these.

The effects of angled FINS - Does it help anything?

I get a lot of comments from people wondering if angling the fins on fin-stabilized projectiles would help anything?   We decided to test this out and maybe settle the argument.   I definitely learned some stuff in this test.   I hope you will too.

Just how "bulletproof" is the lead plate?

Many viewers have wanted us to test other bullet calibers on the massive 30lb. lead plate that we normal use as a comparative medium for 12ga slugs.  We were curious too of what the lead will actually stop.  "Bulletproof" is an old term where you "prove" what types of bullets it can stop and thereby can apply a level of protection.  It doesn't mean it can stop every bullet.  ...

Steel-balled mini Heavy Hitter prototypes
