Steel-balled mini Heavy Hitter prototypes

War Wolf has been on my butt for months to get to testing these slugs.  They seemed to be loaded pretty light,  only 23 grains of Long Shot for an almost 600 grain slug.   I thought the chrono readings were off until I asked what powder load he used for these.   Saw a few minor issues that may  have prevented better accuracy.    For  fun I reloaded one of the Russian steel cased hulls with 30 grains of Long Shot and a 209 primer.  Hot glued an overshot card on it.  It was pretty hinky but worked pretty well.

Bummer.

Great video as always. Informative and entertaining, I do miss seeing Briana and Danny. I hope Danny is doing well.

Not sure how well they'd do out of a Mossberg but they did well in the 870. thanks!

Talking to Kip from War Wolf the other night, he thinks all his customers only like shells loaded to the maximum velocity/recoil. These seemed to do pretty well for a very heavy but very slow slug.

I wish I could show more about loading this stuff. I'm not even sure how YT will react to showing how I drilled out the Russian shells for a 209. They thought Gregg's flashlight on his 870 was akin to showing how to convert a gun to full auto after all. lol

We can't get those in CA unfortunately.

A PERFECT video! Flawless, entertaining, informative, jocund, sassy, engaging, and confidence-inspiring in your sagacity. There. Hope that makes up for the nit-picky comments you must be inundated with by the keyboard warriors in the Internet's b*tch army. I actually cannot remember watching any video of yours that didn't leave me with a hmmm and interesting ideas, as well as a smile on my face thanks to OG's peculiar brand of humor. This round from War Wolf does seem to have an excellent home defense combination of attenuated penetration, effectiveness, and compactness for increased tube magazine capacity - and reliable cycling, apparently even without the OPSol mini-clip, which I use on my Mossberg pump. Great info! Hope all is well with Danny. P.S, I do miss the flux capacitor charging of the mass accelerator, though . . .

Great video. A shotgun full of those mini shells would make a very nice home defense setup, (Note to self)

Jeff and Gregg, hey dudes, once again, great content, I also would like to address the fact that you and the crew,(Equally) have brought an awareness of the evils of marketing, you expose, discredit their products, and let everyone see that face behind the mask of a rip-off artist that claims that their offering provides security, value, quality, and trust. although the filming content really isn't about Handloading, you have to know your way around the reloading bench to make the test platforms to propel the slugs and payloads, you also share your experience in the subject that few people know about, the wads and wad stacks. all of that is appreciated as a bonus value to your content. You guys stay cool and Peace out. -Dave

Another great video. OG had a good idea, why not test slugs from a Shockwave to see the difference in velocity and effects?
