Are you interested in Beta for COROT/COROTG?

The system is stable enough for normal usage, but translations might be incomplete or inaccurate since the translation teams barely started updating their translations (only like 4 devices officially have a Beta ROM at the moment, COROT and COROTG are 2 of them), but overall, it's not too noticeable. Do understand that we don't provide the same level of technical support for a literal Beta soft...

It has been a long week...

Just keeping in touch...

So for the last days I've been upgrading our method of handling translations.

For years we had translations either pulled from Global ROM or from a repository maintained by a translation team from the community.

It was a direct copy process, which works, but is very flawed.

Global translation is updated more often, so when it's being replaced with community translations, this ...

A new Redmi flagship has been released!

Redmi K70 Ultra (rothko) is the direct successor of Redmi K60 Ultra (corot) as the flagship of the Redmi brand and is equipped with the Dimensity 9300+ SoC by MediaTek. This is a new candidate for Xiaomi.eu ROM support, if/when the demand for it rises.

Bluetooth discussion - Redmi K60 Ultra

Xiaomi.eu is now up and running on my Redmi K60 Ultra.

Been testing Bluetooth for a bit now and it seems to be working fine.

I need some input from users, describe what's the problem you're having with Bluetooth and how to reproduce it.

UPDATE 1: Yes, I can confirm weird Bluetooth behavior, specifically when disabl...

Ordered another Redmi K60 Ultra...

It's been 3 months since the last device was shipped and both postal services, in origin country and destination country, don't know where the package is. Basically, it was most likely stolen.
Unfortunately, due to how it was ordered (from the store to Europe, and from Europe to my country), I won't be able to get a refund because it did reach its destination to Europe from the store, just n...

Redmi K60 Ultra placed on order!

There are known Bluetooth issues on Redmi K60 Ultra that we can't investigate further without a device. For that reason, we have ordered the device so that we could continue the support and make the build finally stable.

Hope the affected users stay with us until the device arrives.
Have a pleasant day.

Redmi K50: End of Support

Redmi K50 (rubens) has always had a low contribution participance, and today the last contributor for it has unsubscribed. And so, today the last ROM for this device (V14.0.10.0-TLNCNXM, released by Xiaomi today) will be pushed to those who are at the end of their subscription term, and then support for this device will be terminated completely in order to focus on actually in-...

HyperOS Stable Beta for Redmi K60 Ultra released

Contributors for Redmi K60 Ultra, check your emails if you're interested in trying out the first HyperOS Stable Beta based on Android 14 for your device. It's in a pretty good state but there are still a few known issues that are under investigation. Nevertheless, the ROM should be stable enough for everyday usage.

Always backup your data before doing an Android version upgrade, in case d...

All ROMs have been rebuilt!

As you may have noticed, links to fresh rebuilds have been sent to all contributors.
As promised, this includes our modular workaround for Play Integrity, that we can update when necessary without having to rebuild the ROMs.

After you've updated your ROM (clean flashing is not needed), the module should be already preinstalled. If it has not been preinstalled, for whatever reason, you ...

Modular Play Integrity Fix is coming...

So the poll was very conclusive - most users want the workaround integrated in the ROMs.

However, instead of using the same trick that gets repeatedly destroyed by Google, this time I wrote a modular solution that will allow you to update the parameters used for Play Integrity attestation.

This was hard work, and a lot of trial-and-error involved. Took about 3 days, and I barely sle...

Play Integrity Fix Poll

As you've probably found out already, Google blocked the Play Integrity workaround once again. Where do we go from here, is up to you to decide.

On our Stable ROMs for Snapdragon devices, we already exclude the Play Integrity workaround from the ROMs, so users have to install Magisk and then install the Play Integrity Fix themselves.
The advantage is that they can update the module ins...

All Stable ROMs have been rebuilt!

Check your emails (don't forget the Spam folder if necessary).

The rebuild updates system apps and SafetyNet/Play Integrity workaround, so that you could use your banking apps again, at least until Google patches it again.

Note regarding the new Weather app: you have to clear app data for this app and relaunch it for it to work properly. Otherwise, you'll notice the app's icon and w...

Regarding latest rebuilds of Stables

It looks like our seemingly clever workaround for passing Google Play's "Strong Integrity" is not a viable option. This has caused multiple things to break or misbehave. The most obvious issues are Settings app crashes in multiple cases, like when searching within the app and when accessing Location settings. There are plenty of other checks around the ROM that are very likely to cause unexpect...

More holidays in China

So there are no China DEV ROMs from Xiaomi this week due to holidays, so this weekend will be Stable ROM rebuilds, and also Android 13 Stable Beta for ruby.

Also, we got a link for last week's China DEV for pissarro, so that one is built also and will be pushed to members shortly.

Plans for next week...

In order to refresh your experience, at the beginning of next week all Stable ROMs will be rebuilt with system apps updated from the upcoming Weekly ROM.
Another change is improved security as a result of one of our build tools that has been updated to preserve flags for non-SDK interfaces (aka: hidden APIs).
