This turned out better than I anticipated as my first ever corset! It proves that if you take times to learn the basic, you can make anything. Nothing can go wrong as long as you get the pattern right.
I spend some Patreon money to buy plastic bonings, grommets and cotton tapes for some of the boning channels. I'm so glad I bought the grommet kit this time because I finally learn how to i...

I also tried it on myself. The waistband is a bit loose on me because when making the pattern I intentionally loosen it slightly because the manikin does not have the elasticity of real flesh.
This is the tutorial that I follow to sew this. The pattern is not the same, but I use the same technique to ...

The main modification to stuff the crotch so that it will not be mistaken as women panties.
The rest is routine like changing fabric and topstitching.
I also recommend adding brand graphic to the waistband. Many of the reference I saw have it.

The cuff becomes stretched out while I'm working on it, it loses some of its elasticity. But overall, I'm satisfied with the result.

The main modification is to construct a concealed zipper. I also show how I detail the hood opening edge without folding the fabric. Basically by offsetting some internal lines and manipulating the fold angle. The rest is routine like changing fabric, seam type, topstitch, puckering and trims.
In the end, the final result look just a like knit hoodie. If you want to make this solely for r...

I'm pretty happy with the result. The fit is perfect.
One important design that I did not sew is the elastic waist casing. Maybe next time.

In this post I will explain the modification I make to prepare the patterns for real life sewing. Keep in mind that the toile I made is a bit more than just basic toile because it includes some details but not a complete prototype either.
The following are the overall modifications that I used for all of my projects:
1. Seam allowance. I use 1 cm seam allowance for normal seam and 1...

More than 7 hours long. Even longer if I didn't edit out the time just staring at the reference pictures. But don't be intimidated, this is quite easy to make as long you start with a good base. Like most thing in art and design, work from big to small.
The knee area was particularly puzzling to me. I have no idea how it made. I saw some darts or knee pad. It is also asymmetrical, but I k...

Nothing much to comment here. Pretty easy garment to make.
One thing to contemplate is the type of closure for the skirt, like zipper, hook, buttons etc. But this is omitted in 3D because it will be hidden anyway. Another possibility is that the waistband is elastic, so no closure is needed.

The amount of details overwhelmed me. I decided to forgo the waist/hem casing, and sleeve tab for now. I actually planned to include the epaulet, but I forgot.
I tried it on myself, and the fit was OK but a bit tight at the underarm. So, if I am to redo it, I will lower the underarm point by an inch. It will make the armhole larger and easier to sew.
This one was especially diffic...
