Wave Gradients project file

This is the wave gradients .blend file from the intro of the gradients tutorial.

Very similar setup to the circular gradient one, except the base is not a circle but a subdivided mesh line. The first geometry nodes system adds a wave displacement, and the second one is a nearly identical curve → slice → rounded tube...

Circular Gradients project file

This is the circular gradients .blend file from the intro of the gradients tutorial.

Made by creating a circular curve, then slicing it into a fixed number of random-length segments and turning each segment into a rounded tube. To turn these slices into tubes, Blender 5.0+ has a Curve to Tube tool, so we don’t have t...

Gradients Opening project file

This is the open scene .blend file from the intro of the gradients tutorial.

This is the second attempt I made at matching the gradient style, and therefore the file uses different techniques from what I show on YouTube or use in the other files. I didn’t see a reason to remake it with the newer technique I think it l...

Gradient Art YouTube end result

This is the end result of the gradients tutorial.

It has some minor edits, and I also added comments in the file as notes. The main change is that the edge glow has been reduced in the center of the capsules, which matches the reference a little better.

Two Gradients Meet project file

This is the two red gradients .blend file from the intro of the gradients tutorial.

This scene uses two of the same capsules we did on YouTube, and they share the same material. One capsule is rotated so they mirror each other perfectly. The animation made sense to do on the local Y axis. I couldn’t find a good way to...

'Cool text animation' project file

Hey,

Here are the end result and the intro animation .blend files for this text animation:

I tried out many animations and decided to first share this one. In the following months you will see me diving more into mograph, as geometry nodes make Blender incredibly capable. I...

Glass flower project file

Hey!

This is the project file for the glass flower. The same one that is used for the YouTube thumbnail. There is some postprocessing, let me know if you want the Photoshop file as well. This was a very rewaridng project to work on creatively, as it combines sculpting and enjoyable shader node work.

I hope you'll make cool renders using the material!

Trails project file

Hey, this is the project file for the character trails.

I love this effect so much, I got the inspiration from the Major Lazer - Light It Up music video. Hope you guys create some cool art with it. Feel free to tag me - I'd love to see!

Some considerations:

  • Make sure your UV map has no o...

Massively improved Shortest Paths

Hey,

This is the tool to make shortest paths so much better by removing all overlaps. It is really a miracle and I'm super happy I finally figured it out. Go make some great art, now that the limits are much further away!

I also included the thumbnail file as some of you might want to know how it's made. Keep in mind I made the thumbnail before I fine-tuned the technique for the ...

Fluid Simulation Project files

Hey everyone,
The fluid simulation video is finally out! Two months in the making - cause I tried to do something that in Estonia we call "making bread out of s**t". Rought but true words - I tried to use a 2D simulation to simulate rivers and other bodies of water. It didn't work at all, so in the end I threw everything into the trash bin and started from scratch, trying to find use cases f...

Morph Tutorial Project File

Hey, here is the project file of the morph tutorial. Let me know your questions if you have any!

I have included two files, one for Blender 3.5, which supports the Blur Attribute, and one for 3.4/3.3 which doesn't have smoothing and is using the old Transfer Attribute method instead of Sample Nearest.

A cool morphing effect!

I've been thinking about making a morphing tutorial for quite some time, and here's my take on it. Would you like to see a tutorial about this on YouTube?

Anytree Intro is ready!

Hey!

It's been quite some time since I last shared anything about the ongoing project.

In short - the intro for the upcoming video is now ready.

I want to get the video out before christmas, and I'm working hard to make it happen. (of course I caught a fever too to make the deadline even more challenging).

But let me know what you think of it!

Character progress for AnyTree

Hey,

I've been working the intro character and AnyTree tool during the last days and they have both progressed quite well. This is the tree character I came up with and I'm very happy with the result. The intro is 40 seconds long which is the longest (and most ambitious) one I've ever done. Tomorrow I'll start working on the scenery and environment, as I needed a proof that the char...

Intro progress on Anytree

Hey everyone,

As you know, I'm currently making a system to grow trees of any shape. I'd say the tool is mostly ready and, as usual, I'm currently production-proofing it by making an intro for the video. So I'm planning to make a character made entirely of trees. Who could guess that... This is a little sneak peek of the character (I initially tried to make a human, but that looks s...

How to use the Shortest Path node

This is a detailed tutorial on the new shortest path node added to Blender. It covers all the inputs/outputs and explains thoroughly how to use it, using three examples. We will look at not only finding the shortest, but the easiest path to travel, and how to control the node to our liking. I found the node to be rather complex when I first saw it, so I tried to make the adoption process as eas...

The Fractal Pack is ready!

Around a week ago I shared the trailer for my upcoming Blender asset pack, the Fractal Machine. The pack is now ready, all the fractal presets are done (even made one 2x faster) and I got approved by Blender Market! Just 3-5 days before it goes live.

I hope this allows many more people to create fractal art without diving too deep into math and formulas. The pack will most likely cost $49...

Making a Dragon Curve in Blender

Since we've been on a fractal wave recently, and I also started to build a fractal pack for Blender, I stumbled upon Dragon Curves. This is an IFS (iterated function system) fractal and I think it looks pretty good in a Chinese setting. It's also a fun and useful exercice to figure out this formula with geometry nodes.

4D Fractals Coming!

This is the 4D Julia set fractal which is calculated using a higher dimension. So instead of using the X and Y to calculate the classic Mandelbrot and Julia fractals, we are using XYZW directions. I will make a video about them soon!

Also I will make a Patreon exclusive tutorial on how to make infinite zooms using these and basically any fractals you can make in Blender.
