I don't yet have a name for the world this map belongs to, but we started playing a D&D 5th edition summer campaign with my 13 and 8 year old boys and 11 year old daughter.
Regardless of my 27 years of roleplaying I have never really familiarised myself with any of the D&D fantasy worlds out there. (Yes, I know. It's kind of embarrassing...) Well, I've played...

Beyond the Sea of Fog lies a lonely island and within its rocky cliffs there is the fabled Haven of Wisdom. Part monastery and part a library, protected by arcane powers and monsters guarding it under the sea, the Haven of Wisdom holds the secret writings of forbidden magical lore and the scriptures of dark rituals that once almost destroyed the whole world.

I'm not exactly sure where I got the idea for this map, but I wanted to make some kind of base built on a side of a crater or an asteroid, for example. Based on the design, I would not place this map on an asteroid, but rather into a crater or similar rocky terrain. Also, the lack of airlocks hints that there is some kind of atmosphere present, even though it might be thin or somewhat toxic (pe...

Here's something I got just a moment ago done, but I've wanted to do for awhile already. I have no frigging idea what's going on with this map, but it was really ...interesting... to draw. I'll post this as soon as I get this scanned and through the post-production. Let's see if I add some kind of a story seed with it too.

Another month has passed and as I told in an earlier post, a crowdfunding campaign for my upcoming (Finnish) RPG took a lot of my free-time. The campaign just started its last week, but fortunately we reached our goal already during the first week and there has not been a great pressure to push the campaign since then. Of course we are still trying to reach some stretch goals, but I'm alr...

OK. This is my first double-posting day :) I admit it. I have some maps piled up because of my RPG projects. I have drawn maps on my breaks and in the evenings, but haven't had the time to finalize and publish them lately. Now the month is coming to its end once again and this is actually my sixth month on Patreon now, so I've been doing maps now for a half a year! Pretty cool I think :) <...

This map is not very special as such. It is actually quite mundane. It's just a cottage with a well and an outhouse in the woods. It's not an epic dragon's lair filled with treasure and secret passages, but you know, sometimes these kinds of maps come in very handy.
Who knows who lives in this small one story house. A recluse mage, a child-kidnapping witch, a retired spy or a ...

At first I had a vision of a kind of an oil rig in space. As I started drawing this map, my idea of this station became more focused. The crew of this station would not be the miners in dirty coveralls, but technicians and engineers operating remote controlled mining units outside the station.
I was thinking that what could be the conditions so ex...

As I mentioned before I've been lately quite busy with the Indiegogo campaign for my upcomign RPG, and before that I had some pending releases that I had to take care of. But, now it's a bit more calm again and I had some time to finish one of the maps I've been working on.

Here's a quick shot of the maps that I'm working on and preparing for release. One map is actually missing from this batch as it's on my work desk at the office. I'm planning to watch a movie with my wife and oldest son today (something classic, like Die Hard or Matrix perhaps) and finish one of these today. Any wishes? ;)

Hello, I do occasional commission work when I have some spare time. To be honest, I really would not have had the time, but I was unable to say no to this. I've wanted to draw a space map for awhile already and this presented a good opportunity to do a little practice at the same time.
I got the permission to share this work with you guys and I made a few quick versions of it ...

Another month has passed again and there was a good number of maps done during April. This was not a super-productive month, but still I was able to squeeze together a few maps. Most of them were custom maps for my $3 and $5 reward level patrons, but I must say that some of the April's maps became my current favorites.
Then some news and upda...

This was originally drawn for Astraterra RPG and based on a design by Jonas Mustonen. I really liked how this map can be both an illustration or a map and I think this can be useful in other settings than Astraterra's. One story seed that came to my mind was that the island was raised to the skies due to a ...

Line art for an Umbra-class system patrol ship I did on a coffee break.
I actually like the design myself and it might call for a more detailed version when I have some time for it. What do you guys think?

Here's what I'm going to do next. I have not redrawn any maps before, except for some rough drafts, but let's see how this turns out. Megatraveller was actually one of the very first RPGs I ever played and when I was asked to do this, I had to browse through some of the old books I still have in my RPG shelf. I must say, the Traveller setting is still one of my favorites.

Here's another cool map idea by one of my patrons. Tiina is one of my $3 tier patrons and when I asked what kind of map she would like to get, I got a pretty interesting list of features.

I have not drawn much natural caverns so it was refreshing to draw this map for Mike Diamond, one of my $3 tier patrons as his custom map reward.

In the vast Rust Flats lies the remnants of a ruined city of Ork. Stories are told of a huge empire that ruled the Five Lands and the lands beyond the Dry Sea. Many legends are told of the abundant riches of the Burned Empire, but most of them were lost in the War of Fires. Still, some remains of the empire's great wealth lies in the ruins of its forsaken cities. Even though the Rust F...
