The Forbidden Sanctuary
Added 2016-04-18 21:59:34 +0000 UTCHere's another cool map idea by one of my patrons. Tiina is one of my $3 tier patrons and when I asked what kind of map she would like to get, I got a pretty interesting list of features.
After a brief discussion, I had a pretty good idea of what I needed to do. I would do an ancient temple long lost inside a huge cave with a large pool of water. There needed to be something out of place or unusual that would add some mystery to the map. I added an abandoned (nazi) submarine and a huge statue at the center of the temple. And of course, there is a cave with a secret passage behind the waterfall. The temple has three levels. One above and one below the ground level.
I would think that this map is great for a Call of Cthulhu or a paranormal WWII adventure, or something with a little Indiana Jones feel to it. this could even work in a bit more steampunkish fantasy setting, like the Iron Kingdoms or Eberron, as well.
