Evil Akumi has MORE hitpoints AND does more damage. But normal Akumi has dodge, block and a chance to proc multi-hit. Choosing what stats and abilities to focus on will equal victory or defeat!
This is the actual game engine in progress. I use it to test the character animations to see if they react and move correctly. Will post more of these tests soon!

The game animations will be playing at 60 frame per second! A lot of the time you can't see the fluid animations through the gifs I post because of the compression and frame-drops. My friend Dave saw the animations playing on my computer in real-time and said, wow that looks really smooth, you can't see that fluidity in the gifs.

Sorry for the low resolution, this is an exported gif the programmer sent me. So here we go! The first iteration of the battle system. It looks simple but there's a lot of functions happening in this small little test. I'll explain. This is and AI battle simulator. Most of you know I tend to lean towards the "less is more" approach when it comes to my arts. But then Photoshop pulled me in with the results being top right. I like both! Which do you prefer?
Honestly, I think the difference is small, at least on this character model. Maybe it can be used on targeted areas but not every time.

This was really good practice for cape animations. The great thing about Spine, is mesh animations. I can take any piece of art no matter the detail and animate it. It's magic I say!
Still figuring out this method of animating. Using the graph editor to adjust movements is still new to me.
