I hadn't drawn Chris in a while and had really felt like doing so. So here we go. A chimera from the outer rings of Shatterglass. 

Classroom Doodles day 3: Zein

On the third day of the class, I ended up spending almost the whole time working on Zein's newer dragon-design. There's a bit more here, so I'm going to be attaching the images individually below and type out any text, and any comments I have on them. If you're not really interested in that, you can stop reading here, I guess?

Classroom Doodles days 1 and 2

I had three days of classes, for training at work. One of those yearly things. And I spent all three days just doodling in my book. The first two days were all just fairly random so I'm just grouping them all into one file. Day three though, I spent nearly the whole day just working on the design of one of my characters, Zein. So I might upload the scans all separate, but in a single post.

I was wanna provide a bit more context to the idea behind the sketch, but because I don't know if anyone in the party will see this, I'm gonna skip the inspiration and just say that it's a non-canon ...

Trade tennis 2

Reward: Gamer Ursa

I owe a few sketches to Malcolm, which I'm going to catch up on. Here's the first one. He requested his robo-bear, Ursa, gaming.

Frame folders are a great feature... when used with reason. 

Creating a separate frame folder for each panel is actually the default behavior. but I typically make all or most panels in the same Frame Folder to reduce the number of layers in the overall piece. 

Amari Retrospective: Flats

And here's the flat colors for foregrounds. Nathan in the final panel has a blue-ish tint to his fur because his fur is snow white, and I need it to stand out against the (currently) white background. 

It is now that I'm realizing how much my layering method is going to be a problem for this one. Since I set each panel as it's own separate area, It's already over 200 layers. And I haven't e...

Waking Up

Another sketch I did, this time from the pathfinder campaign. We did a side story session, which took place at a carnival in a dream. During the course if it, a few people won some plushies, which the book describes as looking realistic. When they woke up, however, they became life-sized. Dj Tavi

This is a character of mine that I don't draw often enough. She's a robot anthro skunk, in story a repurposed active camo military bot, rebuilt to be a dj. She's completely covered in rgb lights which make up her fur color normally, but when dj-ing they are used for a light show. She also has speakers built in, and a fun quirk of hers is that she often makes sound effects like a cartoon. Such as...

Amari Retrospective wip 2

Had planned on waiting until I finished the lineart to upload the next Wip, but it's been a bit, so I'm uploading this bit anyway.  Hoping to get the lineart done within the next few days. 

Inktober: Star

My second attempt at Inktober. This time using Zein, my demigod kid.  His mother was a (fallen) goddess of space, and always held high expectations for him. Expectations he rarely was able to live up to. With his power being small in comparison to hers, even after her fall, and the instability of it, he was never able to do much with it. And never managed to create anything. 

Inktober is apparently a thing.

So have a Kanno under the first prompt, Swift. I tried to make it look like he was running, to the best of my ability.

-Edit- I just realized I'm a fool, and was looking at last years list. whoops.

I kind of felt like I was letting certain people down that I hadn't drawn anything strictly tf-related recently, so have a bit of confused, post-change catgirl. It was originally going to be a tf-tg, but I don't feel like I left enough context for that, so I'm just labeling it as tf for now. 

I tried doing a background for this and realized, again, that I messed up on the placing...

This is a bit late, but it's for NevermoreFox, in exchange for a sketch he made for me. This is his character Ude (Previously in the Eight Tales campaign), in military uniform. 

Commission: Strypes

A commission for Malcolm, who wanted me to draw the M-Chassis and F-Chassis of Strype on Twitter. 

It was definitely an interesting one. It was the first time I've drawn robots with that mechanical of parts. 

Style Experiment

A single standalone panel, messing around with style. Going back to the hatching style I enjoyed so much before I started coloring with the markers. I wanted to primarily focus on the hatching for this, and just have the markers compliment that. However, I don't think I quite got that effect.  I'll have to try some lighter markers next time. 

Work in Progress 2: Chassis M and F

I got a new type of paper recently, specifically designed for markers, and decided to use it for this drawing instead of the cardstock I typically used for markers. And i found something out after I started coloring it.

I hate this paper. The marker doesn't absorb into it at all, so it leaves it all streaky and uneven. and blending doesn't like working either, being extremely inconsistent....

Working on a commission, more robots. These ones are a bit more complex in design than the ones I've drawn before, so I decided to work on this sketch digitally, for all the little details it needs. But I haven't uploaded much recently, so here's a wip of it.

Couple Doodle

I've spent the majority of last night and this morning screwing around making little discord emotes. effective use of my time, i know. But I wanted to try making one of those little sets of emotes you see on sites sometimes, where they can combine into one image. so i made this of Imhakaru and Kyra. 

And then I found out that discord always puts a space in between emotes, so it didn't work ...
