I have handed my website over to a developer who is currently cleaning things up, making it more user friendly and will then completely refresh the site. You'll find the Patreon links page far easier to navigate, and it will be updated very shortly with all the tutorials.
I know the search function isn't the greatest in Patreon, so I'm trying to make things as easier as possible for you a...

Thank you all who joined me - this is the playback video, I hope you enjoyed it, and I'll definitely be doing a feather tutorial on drafting film soon!
And because it was such a joy to draw and demo I’m going to release the video to everyone 😊

8pm BST, we're going to be drawing chicken feathers on drafting film this month. If you're on the Proficiency and Persistence tiers, you can join me live on youtube for an exclusive live drawing session.
You can draw with me, or watch and ask questions.
Being able to ask me questions as I'm drawing is a little like being in a workshop environment, you get to ask first hand whi...

You have all joined my patreon because you like my work and my techniques, but you will also maybe have joined because you perhaps like how I want to be all inclusive, help others, and work collaboratively with others.
So with that in mind, I will be bringing you the occasional exclusive video from either our members here, or artists who I admire and follow and who are happy to share thei...

Ok so I've had some help from Patreon, and hopefully, fingers crossed it should now be working. Could you all try to connect again :)
I've broken the link to discord and I've re linked it and hopefully set up everything correctly now so I'm hopeful you'll all receive an email so you can join the chat.

This goes live tomorrow, but I thought you might like a little sneak peek!
There's some facts about Zebra at the beginning, and then I chat a little for around 5 minutes about how I've created the piece and with what.
Enjoy :)

Thought you might like to see what happens behind the scenes. I’ve been out photographing again today - I’m not a photographer by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s lovely to meet clients, their animals and take my own photo. I take loads so I can guarantee a couple of decent ones.
This video shows me doing an initial check of the photos before I start to edit.

Thank you to one of my Patrons, Laura, for inviting me to her wonderful farm this morning to take some photos of her sheep and beautiful Dales ponies. This little trio were incredibly charming and cute! I have hundreds of photos (in the hope that I managed to shoot a couple of good ones) and this one really appealed to me.
It's copyright free and you can do what you wish.

First part of the Fjord Pony tutorial. I talk about the drafting film at the beginning of this video, giving you a bit of an insight into how it works.
Attached are two ref photos, a blurred one and a sharp one, the line drawing - although I would always recommend you create your own, and the pdf file with all the pencil and tool details.
Have fun!

I'll be uploading the video files hopefully by the end of today - just when Patreon finishes doing what it has to do.
In the mean time here is the supplies list and list of coloured pencils used - I mention in the videos that the new lightfast colours would be awesome for this - but because I know not everyone has them I've stuck to polys, pablos and luminance - to be honest any pencils y...

Hi everyone, welcome new members, and to my existing members, welcome back :)
Lots of things happening in July. Once Patreon has done it's 'thing' I'll be uploading the Fjord pony for every tier - I have a feeling that this one will be a firm favourite and I've got some more ideas for drafting film tutorials in the future.
I'll be starting to upload the full tutorial of Tilly ...

Something a little different but I think you’ll love it!!
Not using pastelmat but drafting film - readily available and something I was using for my commissions all the time back in 2017
Very smooth Matt film and it’s just wonderful
This looks tricky but honestly it’s not!

I've opened up my discord chat room for tier 2 members. You have access to the general chat area - it's turning out to be a really fun place to be. Chat to fellow patrons, find out what's going on with them, what they're working on and get to know each other.
You should receive an email to let you know how to join.
