My new recording set up :)

I've been doing quite a bit of research over the last few months and wanted to start using a better quality camera for my videos. I thought about using my DSLR, but it comes with all sorts of complications, it will only record for 29 minutes (tax reasons means if it records for longer it's classed as a camcorder and then the tax changes), I can use a CAMLINK to use it as a webcam but it still s...

July’s focus is finished

This is on smooth paper, using luminance and polys and will be going up on Patreon on 2nd July. Lots of fun, and lots if different textures. Will be available across all the tiers 🥰

July’s focus - muzzles and fabric

I’ve been working hard today and got all this done so quite pleased 🥰 it’s a smooth paper tutorial on the Nostalgie again but you can use any smooth paper as the techniques are identical. Minimal pencils too. Lots of layering, blending, burnishing. I may have to do it again on pastelmat lol!

Transferring the image for my next tutorial

Very speedy video, just showing how I've transferred the image onto the paper. I'm using an A3 light box as per Tina's video last week, and the paper is the hahnemuhle nostalgie - it's only 190lbs but it's the morning here in the UK and it still showed through well :) I used a mechanical pencil to create the outline.
