This week's gif is very jingle-y.

Rather than jumping into Blender, I did a very crude 10-frame animation in Sketchbook. It has a flipbook feature that's kind of fun, if you like being tested with only two normal layers and a background you can't animate.

I've got some more things I'm trying out in Sketchbook, and I hope y'all enjoy the next WIP post~

While painting the last panel on this page I came up with an idea that forced me to re-write the next page, which requires moving around the panels I already thumb-nailed, including pushing one back into this page... But hey, that's why you draw thumbnails first, to be flexible. Gotta welcome fresh ideas at any part of the process.

WIP 181003

Been a while! This project's still rolling, as you can see: episode 1, scene 01. Temp audio and subs in place until the episode's complete and I start casting VAs.

It's not a very interesting scene compared to the others and is really heavy on exposition, so it was a bit tougher to power through. Something nice for screenwriters to do when trying to drop tedious amounts of info is to have at lea...

RvB's always given interesting treatment to character names. The last-name basis for most characters is a product of the military setting, of course, and even then shortcuts and nicknames abound ("Doc," for instance, was forced on Medical Officer Dufrense almost immediately in season 2.) One of my favorite season 3 jokes pokes fun at the fact that Church never learned Tucker's full name after year...
