I think we're all lucky on this one to have another great collaboration with Alex from Neutral Party. I've worked with Alex quite a few times in the past, but it's been a while, and I think what we came up with worked out really well. An angelic statue in a natural pool of water, shining with sanctifying light. Perhaps...

I did a bit of a collaboration this week with Jacob from XP to Level 3 on their new Eberron campaign stream. Callestan is one of the slum districts at the bottom of the city of Sharn in Eberron,
"It's a place where violence and crime occurs every day. It is run down, grimy, dark, cramped, dangerous, and very importantly contained within a massive tower and buried beneath layers and ...

In my game, my party has been rallying their troops to march on the enemy stronghold, and so I think I might want to have an encounter or two while they march with their army. I think this is a probably a common location in any political or faction themed game. Especially once the party gets high enough level. But, I hope that a lot of people are playing these types of games, because they're pr...

I have had quite a few patrons ask me to put my scenes up on Moulinette for Foundry, for ease of access onto the VTT, and so I have obliged and now all scenes are up and running.
It is all Day and Night scenes so will be accessible to $4 tier patrons.
If you use Foundry I hope this makes things easier for you and you can find me on the Moulinette marketplace 2023-08-24 20:52:25 +0000 UTC

This one is a fun collaboration that I got to make this week with Ollie from Moonlight Maps who makes some really atmospheric maps for tabletop or VTT. He had a few maps that he was working on and I chose to do this canalled fishing town because I loved the foggy atmosphere of his map. I also thought this could go rea...

I have done some more city and royal locations over the last couple of months, and so I thought it was just about time for a throne room, for those parties that would be lucky enough to obtain an audience with a ruling monarch. I can imagine many different scenes in this location, and many different reasons that a party would find their way here. Hopefully my party will one day reach high enoug...

I was on a walk through a woodland a couple of months ago and emerged to see this lone farmhouse sat in front of a large hill, and like last weeks Fortified Church, I took a photo because I instantly knew that I had to paint a farmhouse scene. Farmers are often the first to know when trouble is afoot in an adventure, so tracking them down for information or for them to point you in the di...

A lot of people ask me where I get my inspiration from and my usual answer is from going out in the world and seeing new things. I took a photo last year while travelling of a church on a hill, and I was resolved to use it for the basis for a location. I had shared that image on my discord back then, saying that I wanted to paint a bigger church or a fort on the hill, and someone pointed me to ...

There are locations in any D&D adventure that seems to come up over and over again, and one of those of course has to be the tavern. I made the Tavern Interior location last year and have used it quite a few times in my own game, but I use that as an example of a respectable establishment, maybe run by an retir...
