Weekly Roundup 196 - Camp Prisoner Dungeon Event - Part 2

Hi Everyone!

It's been a productive week with just a tiny bit to report so let's get into it:

1: What's New?

Work continues on the Camp Prisoner Dungeon Event. For the first half of the week I was in unity working on the game logic.

One cool thing that's going to be added with this new event is that the way to free the prisoner is that you have to find 4 objects around the dungeon and bring them back. I've made a system that randomly spawns the object in the level. Making finding them more randomized.

For the second half of of the week I worked on the art asset. Slow but steady progress is being made. Here's an example of what I have so far:

And like any of the complex assets in game it's not one flat image. There's multiple layers split out so that they can be smoothly animated.

2: What's Next?

Next up is more work on this asset. making more states for the character, more details and objects. 

And overall the new event is coming together well!

I hope that when the player fails to remove the trap, the trap can torture the prisoner more fiercely
