At the end of last month we had the release of Re:Zero Season 2's final episodes. The season as a whole brought up new questions, answered a few, showed off a few more we weren't expecting, and leaves me wondering just what comes next.

Do you remember Dot Hack at all? that quirky series of anime, video games and a bunch of other media about a simulated MMO world?
I do, so I wanted to spend some time to go over and remember the good parts (and bad) of the franchise that started the whole "Trapped in an MMO" phase of Isekai.
