Weekly Roundup 201 - New Art Assets for Dungeon and Camp

Hi Everyone,

Good progress this week on making some new needed art assets for the game! Lets get into them.

1: What's New?

So this week I was able to create 3 new art assets.

Two are item pickups. I Made dedicated sprites for Materials and Essence Pickups. I made these so everything wasn't a different shade of coin.

The other was finally making a "Freed" art asset for the Warrior Heroine.

This Heroine will now show up in your camp once you save them.

I do need to figure out some dialogue for her that can be said. As if would be satisfying's to get her insight after release.

Another thing I finally did is create some logic so that the prisoner portal window in the camp changes to the next Heroine to save once you've saved the prior one. As well as have the camera zoom into them for a little while before the scene fades to black.

2: What's Next:

Next week I want to make the dialogue and talking logic for the freed heroine. And after that focus on more art assets needed to craft!

I've been curious about this idea of using captured Cultists for a while now! >:D

It would be cool if we could "spend" captured cultists (maybe with a minigame of sorts) in camp for one time buffs for the next level like more damage, exp, materials etc. Another cool Feature for the Boss battles would be that we can use the bosses powers for ourselves. Maybe defeat/capture cultist immediately for example.
