ANALYSIS: Chad's 'Feel The Fire' Podcast

Chad, Lori and Melanie are quite the trio when it comes to podcasting. Did we mention when we posted this 'Feel the Fire' episode earlier this month, that it was released AFTER 16-year-old Tylee had been murdered?

Our episode will focus more on Chad, as he is the guest being interviewed by podcast hosts Lori and Melanie. This is Chad expressing his thoughts about the Savior while days ago he allegedly helped burn and bury a teenage girl in his yard. It's difficult to fathom, and I'm grateful I have John to ask my many questions.   #JusticeforTyleeandJJ

Lori sounds like the Schweddy Balls skit on SNL.

Marci Welcker

Their saccharine voices make me want to barf 🤮

Louise Grills

I’m late to the game here, but I just joined not long ago. Did he say he saw Jesus in the bathroom?

Barefoot & Childless

Change his life forever.... Death penalty!

Carla Perkins

Loris voice makes me sick

Jukie g

Why does Lori speak with that Baby voice?

Deborah Orr

Knowing that Tylee had already be killed and mutilated while they did this podcast, is horrifyingly sickening.

Susanne Pappan

His voice is so monotone. No feeling and definitely not an original thought in his empty head. Lori and her baby talk is so ridiculous. Is she trying to be sexy or cute, like a little girl? It absolutely makes my skin crawl. Melanie talks childlike as well, but not even close to the extreme Lori does.

Tracy Warberg Holliday

Gawd, his description of Jesus is so regurgitated & unimaginative 🤮this man has never had an original thought in his pathetic, small life. I'll give it to Lori that she has an uncanny capability of controlling everyone around her with a baby voice. A talent I think she's currently using & fine-tuning & at justices expense. Dr J, your point about how Chad's Jesus is a direct representation of what he wishes he was is a Brilliant insight. Their view of God is disgustingly simple & vanilla. This world is a horror show & If there really was a God he'd have to be a weak & anemic as Chud to see the horror around us & do nothing. I wish there was a God to see him judge these idiots. They're trying so hard to prove there is a God & they are the chosen ones that they became the devil

Angel Bogart

I hope you picked up on my sarcastic tone I completely agree with you. I was voicing their thinking.

Lynette Butler

Curious Joan—I do hope you picked up on my sarcastic tone. I completely agree with you.

Lynette Butler

Omg they sound like the Saturday Night Live skit of “sweaty balls” lol

Collette Osburn

In the conversation Lori and Melanie had “where’s JJ?” Lori’s voice certainly was not the sexy little girl one. She shapeshifts.

Dede B

I suspect that Chad is all set to be a martyr…..at least right now.

Dede B

Lauren, regarding editing, remember: perfect is the enemy of good.

Dede B

In Jewish tradition you are Jewish if your MOTHER is Jewish. Case closed. This thinking is so racist and frightening. God help us all.💚

Joan Pheney Engstrom

And on top of that Chad seems to think that his thoughts or dreams while he's sleeping are considered Grand visions. It streams and visions not dreams that are visions and that doesn't include your own personal thoughts Chad

Crystal Swannack

I just don't understand it. Chad literally says nothing. There is absolutely no depth to anything that he says are right. It's not even the depth of primary or nursery even. I don't see how anybody could listen to him and think he was even close to anything special. Baffles my mind

Crystal Swannack

yes! I didn't read before I commented below. This contradiction is hilarious.

Lisa Karlson

A I mistaken? Why is Lori asking Chad what Jesus looks like if she's already seen him in the flesh, as per her testimony recording?

Lisa Karlson

That voice Lori is using sounds pornographic to me.

Shari Farrow

This scripture was going through my head hearing Chad talk. 2 Nephi 28 "7 Yea, and there shall be many which shall say: Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die; and it shall be well with us. 8 And there shall also be many which shall say: Eat, drink, and be merry; nevertheless, fear God—he will justify in committing a little sin; yea, lie a little, take the advantage of one because of his words, dig a pit for thy neighbor; there is no harm in this; and do all these things, for tomorrow we die; and if it so be that we are guilty, God will beat us with a few stripes, and at last we shall be saved in the kingdom of God. 9 Yea, and there shall be many which shall teach after this manner, false and vain and foolish doctrines, and shall be puffed up in their hearts, and shall seek deep to hide their counsels from the Lord; and their works shall be in the dark. 10 And the blood of the saints shall cry from the ground against them."

Saralyn

I think this whole interview is them justifying their actions. Lori claims Jesus knows how hard this mortal life is and is welcoming those to the next life-so they are doing a favor to the zombies by releasing them to the Kingdom of God. Chad says Jesus is not judgmental, so it's ok if you let loose and laugh a little, have extramarital sex a little, or, ya know, even kill from time to time? No big whoop since our pal Jesus, who has bestowed them above others with his divine Arian presence, has gotten down on his knee to welcome their children into heaven with a big hug. He's leading the way into eternity, and they are just "helping " him. It's all good, all within the bounds of being a perfect Jesus adoring Christian.

Jennifer Priebe

So very true. It is another instance that shows her lack of distress emotions.

Lauren and John Matthias

Well said.

Lauren and John Matthias

We love this comment!

Lauren and John Matthias

Thank you!

Lauren and John Matthias

I am just baffled that anyone would follow this guy anywhere. He seems developmentally delayed to me.

Shari Farrow

Lori is very mentally ill. Detached to the max. No emotion regarding her daughter’s death. I would be curled up in the fetal position for weeks if my prophet had me kill any one of my daughters. I would not be on a Podcast wondering what color eyes Jesus has. I am so saddened by this.

Tamara Wakeman Sukohl

I agree, and I think you refer to the (boring) Train dream? Clearly Chad saw himself shaking up and leading the church.

MarionRosanna Anna

My important question is: why oh why does Chad always mention bathrooms and showers? A bathroom on his mission where he sees Jesus? A shower mentioned when he’s just destroyed Tylee? And I think he mentioned it another time, too. It’s another weird Chad trait.

MarionRosanna Anna

So Jesus is only Jewish on his mothers side, right? I think the blue eye insistence is to suggest that God is his father and God is aryan.

Lynette Butler

Joseph Smith’s witness of Jesus is referred to as the “first vision”— and that Jesus “appeared” to him. So Chad is making himself like Joseph Smith.

Lynette Butler

Didn't Lori say in her testimony that she was a personal witness of Christ, that she's seen Him and that He was her friend? Why is she asking Chad then about His personality and what He looks like? She should already know right?

Saralyn

Personally, I love your editing, Lauren. I enjoy and often get a lot out of the unedited episodes, but something about the edited episodes resonates deeply within me.

Krystaline Faithe

First off, y’all are so fun, or should I say playful. 😇 Chad is bland, one dimensional, and evil. There seems to be contradiction in that. We think of evil as being red with horns. Listening to Chad, Lori, and M is like being back in 8th grade with girls crushing on guys. Again, how can people who sound like children be so evil? It’s a mind bender. Appreciate both of your insight,

Heather Carter

Also, I’d love to hear “before Chad” and “after Chad” voice recordings of Lori.

Cami Hurst

My thoughts about the “Puritan” comment and focus on humor. I’d like to know what year(s) Chad began to doubt that the LDS prophet might not be all seeing, and that he knew more. I hear Chad describing a “Gordon B Hinkley gospel”. He was the first and last to be jovial and to spoke about not being “prudish”. I almost wonder if that was the last prophet her trusted and his version of Jesus and “truth” really sounding a lot like that time period of LDS leadership.

Cami Hurst

It’s as if Lori and Melanie are trying to emulate the LDS conference voice and getting it so wrong. I didn’t think I could experience a worse voice, but they both accomplished it.

Valorie Dodart

I am curious if Chad’s description of Christ as non judgmental was more for Lori’s benefit.

Samantha Gharony

I cannot stand to hear their child like voices

Carol Rothenbuhler

Clearly the fact that Lori eloped after high school (non-Mormon), had an out-of-wedlock pregnancy, was pregnant when she married husband No.2 (non-Mormon), married 2 non-Mormons, indicates that her family were not committed Mormons. When did she become so devoted?

Erica A. Zwick

I understand how people get scammed by charlatans and grifters, but Chad Daybell? He has the personality of a wet rag.

Erica A. Zwick

I have to frit my teeth hearing her saccharine fake voice & Chad's weak, fake voice. They may believe all their bull but I still cant understand how anyone saw him as a Prophet -at all.
