We test BPI's AQ slugs -Made in USA now

The Italian company went out of business around 10 years ago but BPI got the tooling to manufacture these themselves. I think this is a first since BPI normally re-sells other company's slugs.

I've had nothing but good experience with BPI. I'm sure if you look hard, you might find someone who didn't. I have the bare necessities for loading shells. A Lee Safety scale (balance scale) some homemade powder scoops, and a roll crimper.

2018-12-13 22:06:30 +0000 UTCThe increased damage to the rear of the lead plate from the second slug could indicate that the chronograph reading for the first shot was correct - for whatever reason. Perhaps a light powder throw, or just an artifact of using the rifled barrel.
