2018-12-18 04:43:32 +0000 UTCEven though everything you shot was subsonic out of that I wonder what the Winchester 22 wmr subsonic crono would have showed? If the stuff you were shooting was only about half the rifle velocity would it have held true for the subsonic loads? Instead of the 1080fps it's rated would it have dropped to 540fps or would it have stayed closer to the 1080 since most of the powder would have burned before the bullet exited the barrel?

2018-12-17 15:32:37 +0000 UTCI had a Ruger LCR in .22 mag and got decent velocities from Gold Dots - 1216 fps, PDX1 - 1250, and Hornady FTX - 1147. Add around 150 fps for the PMR-30. However, the LCR in .327 Federal Magnum is the same size and weight, while packing a much bigger punch.

2018-12-17 09:18:43 +0000 UTCInteresting - similar to a .22 Magnum derringer that I have, but have never tested for penetration. I'll have to look up those hollow points meant for a short barrel. Very true that one of these in a pocket beats a .45 left at home - some 90% of attacks are stopped when the first defensive shot is fired - usually without hitting the target. Something about muzzle blast that tends to convince perps to change career.

Great to see Danny saving that bionic shoulder after those last slugs you shot he deserves the break.
