Tea house: solo version and interior
Added 2018-08-20 16:01:32 +0000 UTCI have been working on the version without the raised platform and veranda. When I talk to people, a lot imagine a tea house with them, but very often such a building did not have them. The veranda is an extension of the waiting area where the guest of the tea ceremony would prepare themselves and wait for the host to invite them in.
Here is where the waiting area would be. I have yet to create the entrance roof modules, but you can see the "humble" door. This is the small door the visitors crawl into the tea room.
I have started working on the interior. The walls are missing, but you can imagine the host coming in through the main door in the back and then walking down the corridor on the side to enter the main room (here with tatami and alcove section in the back).
The tatami is optional, so if you want you can also have a plain wooden floor.
For this building I also want to make some interior walls you can insert (or remove - as the corridor will be a narrow 1"). But even without them, I have added some marker lines where the walls would be.
This version looks a little "naked" to me now, so I am looking forward to complete the missing entrance sections.
