Video update!

Hi everyone! Long time no see. Just wanted to let you all know that I'm deep in the editing phase of a two part series: "The man who faked human cloning"

The good news is that thanks to Nebula's support, I've been able to produce the first part far sooner than expected, and it's available there right now. https://nebula.tv/videos/bobbybroccoli-the-man-who-faked-human-cloning

As Patrons you will still get early access on Youtube closer to the release of part 2, and you won't be charged until then. Because of Nebula's support part 2 is only a couple weeks from being finished! This is extremely exciting since past projects have had multi-month turn-around times.

Again, I want to thank you all for your support and patience.

Loving the video so far! FYI, typo at 22:22 — Buddhists, not Bhuddists

This came up in the discord too, we figured out that's it's a weird calendar difference that South Korea used for birthdays (they are actually changing that system later this summer). Birthdays are sometimes off by a year

at 36:28 you say lee died in a car accident at the age of 42. but the dates on screen imply he died at 44

Can't wait! Take your time!

Hey Jason, appreciate the comment. I understand the concerns, and to be clear I haven't charged any Patrons for this video, and won't until part 2 is done. Nebula is sponsoring this video and that is why the video is available there extra early. Patrons will continue to get videos a few days earlier than Youtube viewers, same as before. In the past viewers have asked for the parts of each series to release closer together, and Nebula's support has made that possible in a way I wasn't able to before. You can expect part 2 to be finished quite soon (a couple weeks).

I'll happily take my lumps from other supporters saying I'm being rough here. I again stress I love your careful and thoughtful work explaining the politics and process of science and wouldn't be here if I wasn't.

Bobby, I'm going to be that guy and say that making your patreon audience pay an extra amount, a subscription even, to view the videos they're supporting you on is a bit ... jank. Obviously I think you do amazing work and I look forward to your video, but even a five minute preview dropped here for your supporters, plus an announcement that you are a Nebula creator first and foremost would be more in line with what's being offered.

Just keep doing the great work that you always do man. Good things take time, so take all the time you need :P
