Quest Failed: Chapter Two - Alpha Build 0.11 Released!
Added 2020-09-09 10:10:39 +0000 UTCHello!
I've stayed up all night and now it's 10am and my eyes feel like burning--but I'm happy to announce that Chapter Two alpha 0.11 is now officially out for everyone on the alpha testing tier, rejoice! You'll find the new 0.11 folder in the link that was provided to you at the start of the month. And as I stated previously--this is a backdated link, so anyone that received an alpha build from July onwards should be able to use the same link to test the new release!
The new build includes:
- A continuation of the main story thread that was started in the last build. Experience an action-packed conclusion to this current story thread and see what it might be building up to in the future! Tons of new writing is featured here which took up the most of my time these last few months as I make good progress in fully completing the main story.
- Two new lengthy h-scenes, both fully voiced straight out of the box, huzzah. I had a lot of fun writing these two and hearing them come to life--and I hope you enjoy them, too!
- Various voice clips added to a bunch of small moments that may not have had them before. (Such as the royal hug, and holy blessing, chu~ And even the hissy first aid, which has a shiny new CG to go along with it)
- Several things behind the scenes to pave the foundation for future content. Hopefully I haven't broken anything!
As a warning--please do NOT load your old saves--as they will break at some point due to a change in variables and end in heartbreak. I understand starting over each time is less than ideal, and I do want to find a better solution in future if possible, but for now please bear with it as this is just part of the testing process!
I'll be posting a scene guide shortly after and then crashing out unconscious on my bed. But PLEASE let me know if anything breaks, or strange things happen--as I've done everything in my power to prevent this, but testing such a large game leaves plenty of room for error. Especially with how sleepy I am. If any gamebreaking issues occur, I'll update the build with a fix as fast as I can. Provided I wake up from my slumber, that is.
And if course, if you need any help accessing the alpha and feel you were entitled to it--shoot me a message and I'll try to sort things out.
Thank you all for your immense patience, and I'll try to have a proper dev log up in the next couple of days once I've recovered--detailing what the new alpha release means for Quest Failed, and how far we might be from seeing a full release.
Thanks again for your immense support everybody--I love you all~ <3
