Summary of the changes
Added 2021-11-11 01:43:41 +0000 UTCHello! I was thinking all night about how I should summarize the changes. Here is it.
・I draw only original characters for Warter-kun
It's okay for me to draw your friend's characters as long as you ask them for permission.
If you don't have your OCs, I can make new ones from your text or images. I ask you that they're not complicated.
Characters are not from certain games for the sake of copyright.
・This is effective right now
You can send me your OC request now.
I don't count the fanarts I made if you're staying the Water-kun tier. So all of Water-kun can request me this month.
・I'm going to delete the fanart sketches on Patreon and repost them on Twitter or tumbler later.
I decided not to draw fanarts for profit, I'm going to repost them somewhere for free.
・To make it fair, I'm going to draw the rest of the fanart requests that I already got.
I got a comment says it's not fair that some don't get the requests drawn while some got. I think so too. But since I decided not to draw any fanart requests here, I'm going to draw the rest and post a free site, such as Twitter and tumbler. I'll let you know when I do it.
I have one-third of this month, I ask you to wait for the fanarts until December because I have other work to do.
I want here to be a place where I can learn and draw original work and I make you happy by drawing your original world.
If you have qustions, plz let me know! This is the best way to start again and meke it fair for everone.
I'm really sorry for this change. But if you're going to stay here, I'd be happy. If you don't, then I tottally understand! I'm replying to your DMs one by one, later.
Have a nice day!

Ah I see. I know that conversations about fanart and copyright are more strict in Japan, especially by IP holders. But I guess other types of people are also against profit from fanart? This idea seems very different from what artists and companies can do in other countries, and I think many American artists and fans did not know about that idea. Mayo, I wish to say that I want to support you so that you can make as many original art and fanart as you want. Mayo’s art is a good investment by itself.
2021-11-13 03:17:45 +0000 UTCZenFallon, thank you for your understanding! I feel that there's a huge perception gap in copyright between Japan and other countries. I don't want to be too strict about it, but I found many heated discussions in Japan. What they see as the biggest problem is that artists post fanarts on paysite such as Patreon, Fanbox, etc. They're opposed to artists getting profit from fanarts. Of course, some people have different opinions about it, but I can't focus on drawing if I get blamed for it. So for now, I post original art here. That doesn't mean I stop drawing fanarts. I keep posting them on Twitter and Tumblr as always. Anyway, thanks!
2021-11-13 02:51:35 +0000 UTCThank you for the explanation, Mayo! O understand your decision, and I think what you wrote is thoughtful and reasonable. I understand that commissioned fanart has copyright complications in other countries, so I think making art with as little conflict as possible is the very reasonable.
2021-11-12 05:21:32 +0000 UTCThank you, Marley! I think this is the best way to make it up to them so far I can come up with.
2021-11-11 22:32:09 +0000 UTCThank you for being so thoughtful!!! This seems like the kindest outcome, I'm really happy about this and I hope you're more comfy with the changes too :D
