Andy, this is an emotional one. They found some records of her, they weren’t recordings. So, Aaron was able to add her singing to the track. So much to say. the advice at the beginning that her grandmother gave her. Never be so polite you forget your power: Don’t be a pushover; Never wield such power you forget to be polite: Be assertive, but don’t be a bitch. Her grandmother had closets of gowns she had worn at performances and balls. Taylor was too young to really be too interested in them. But, now she wants to ask her about every one of those dresses/ gowns and where she wore them, what was the performance, wants to know about each and every one of them. But she can’t. The line about closets of backlogged dreams and how you left them all to me, has dual meaning. It actually IS the closets of gowns she left for Taylor. BUT, Im sure she had dreams for her, dreams that maybe they could have sung together, dreams that Taylor is happy and is successful, all those dreams she had maybe for herself but she left them for Taylor. Track 13 about her grandmother. Track 13 on folklore is epiphany about her grandFATHER at Guadalcanal and front line workers during Covid. She has spoken about this. About Epiphany on the long pond studio sessions and Marjorie on the Apple Interview with Zane Lowe 2020. I think you’d enjoy the apple interview. As a singer songwriter, I would think you would enjoy hearing another artist discuss how she wrote a song and why and what it means. I love the interview and think you’d enjoy it.

Starbuck1234!

This is a beautiful song and your reaction was just as beautiful and genuine. Really appreciate the honesty and even trust to put this online.
