Safe to say, I liked it quite a lot.

There's nothing wrong with episodic games. Not on paper, anyway. There's plenty wrong with the current crop of entities eyeing episodic games up, however.
Last week, some people assumed I thought episodic content was, itself, a problem. This is not the case. Let's look at what the actual problem is.

It's been a while since we had one of these. Got some lovely stories for ya!

Laura compares her teenage poetry to the lyrics of Shadow the Hedgehog's title tune, and we find out that corporate-produced angst cannot stand up to the real thing.
Elsewhere, there's more VR bollocks, we talk about Nintendo and the NX, and one third of the team might be a bit loopy on medication.

Join your old friends Jim Sterling and Conrad Zimmerman as they get elbow-deep in licensed videogame material. Movies, TV shows, comics (but mostly movies), the doctors are here to examine.
This week, we start with 2002's Resident Evil, directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and starring Milla Jovovich.
She kicked a zombie unconscious.

Yes, yes, that's all well and good. Can we have our RE2 remake now, please!?

Two years ago, The Jimquisition said Square Enix was planning to break its games into pieces. Here we are with a carved-up Final Fantasy VII remake and Hitman.
So today, I go back to my sources and find out even more. Why is Square Enix doing this? What was the great panic at the end of the last generation that led to more episodic content? And why are there so many remastered rereleases...

This week, we talk about David Bowie and That Dragon, Cancer. So yeah... not the most upbeat of weeks, right? This was all recorded before the Alan Rickman news, too.
Fuck cancer.
Anyway, we still have a fun show for you. We also chat about Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India and Pony Island, as well as lament injured backs and the latest Rift chicanery.

A tough one to review, this. Things like this are (hopefully) making better critics of people like me.

Let's talk about virtual reality, yaaaay!
With the Rift selling out at $599, there's been a lot of smack talked between those who pray at the altar of VR, and those who wish the whole thing would go away.
Both these camps are talking shite. The Jimquisition knows what's up.... as ALWAYS.

Masturbation is the hottest topic of the hour, as the dark side takes a heavy grip on our oozing genitals. So that's good.
Elsewhere, we talk plenty about VR and the recent Oculus Rift pre-order chaos, there are Assassin's Creed rumors about, and Gavin will soon get to play the new Tomb Raider.
Then there's all the wanking.

Reviewed that there reboot of a Harmonix classic. This iteration is not *quite* so classic, though.

This week, we look at the horrible ways in which publishers have mutilated Tetris over the past few years.
A game so simple and codified, it should be impossible to screw up, this industry has nonetheless given it a damn good go.

To be quite honest, I don't remember a damn thing we talked about on this episode.
All I remember is that Gavin, condemned to sobriety, had to sit and listen to a load of bollocks as everyone else got nuder and less coherent.
I think at some point I mentioned Bravely Default?

So it's that time of the year again. The time to condense a year of bubbling shitclusters into a digestible list of ten thoroughbred shithorses.
This year was a struggle, but not impossible. After much thought, deliberation, and howling desperately into the night, The Jimquisition brings to you...

I decided to do a written award ceremony to compliment the Jimquisition videos. Here, we "celebrate" the year's biggest letdowns, the games that couldn't be good or bad enough to go anywhere else.

Merry Christmas Eve n' stuff. We have a nice positive show discussing games that we loved in 2015.
There are obvious picks of course - Bloodborne, The Witcher 3, and Splatoon get mentions after a year of podcast talk - but you might hear a few surprises too.
Gavin's sick, Laura's on mead, it's a fine time all round!

This week, we're talking about GaymerX, Ubisoft screwing up Tetris a SECOND time, and Hideo Kojima's magical holiday that led to a whole new indie studio.
It's a whole lot of fun this week, easily our best and worst sho...
