Okay, I'm calling it a draft. Nice and short (47,389 words which is about 190 pages, so a novella). I'm a tad iffy on whether Siki's mood changes are 100% plausible, but I think it's right. I'm eager to hear what people think.
I'll leave this open for beta reviewers for a bit and jump in my editor's queue when he has time to take me.
There we are, back to the conclusion of this ridiculous story. Various scenes ended up on the cutting room floor, but there's one I might yet add back in. I'll have to do a read-through before I decide. Regardless, I think we're super close to having a completed draft! Woot!

Rafe said his wife is sick, and he sounds worried that he won't always be able to take on new book projects. I'm worried for them both, and I hate the prospect of anyone else ever doing one of my audiobooks. Ugh, what a year!

In other news, Ky's birthday is on Tuesday.
