Avenged Sevenfold - Nobody Chorus Tapping Lick

Hey guys 👋

Thanks to all the newbies around here! Love to see it 🙏

I saw this before a lesson with a student that loves A7X so I learnt it as we happened to be covering tapping any way! So I thought you guys might appreciate it if I just tab it up.

What do you think to the video quality? I thought it came out quite nice, but it’s just front cam ...

What should I do?

I've been thinking it would be really great to have all of you in a Whatsapp group or something where we could all interact and help one another
So should I use Whatsapp, Discord, Facebook or something else?

B Phrygian Dominant Tapping

This is a little bit more tough than some of my other licks

This is a throw back to a band called Bloodshot Dawn - if you’ve ever heard of them

One of my favourite players Benjamin Ellis plays this lick after an amazing intro lead so I though I’d share it with you guys

Tap The Same Fret

With all minor pentatonic shapes you can move up 7 frets. Because of the way the scale works you can continue to tap that fret on every string & start to go down the minor pentatonic

This gives you a great sounding shred line!

This is similar to a lick I posted last month in E minor

Just moved into D minor!

Introducing Harmonic Minor in Sweeps

This progression is playing the chords

D Bb F A

Normally in a minor scale he chords follow the order or ‘Min dim Maj Min Min Maj Maj’. This would make the 5th chord (A.) a Minor chord.

Because we’re playing a major 5th chord we’re introducing a major 7 into the scale which is the one and only harmonic minor scale. 🔥

A minor sweep pattern

This pattern is two of the most common shapes

The one from 12th fret is an A minor,But that’s because it’s from the 12th fret. If you played it from the 7th fret on the A string then you would be playing an E minor.

This is the same for the C major 🔥
