This is almost a 'entry into shred' style lick
Pentatonics are the basics of shred for most guitarists.

How To Speed Up Your Left Hand

This video gives you a great way to start speeding up your legato & accuracy.
The way to sound like your heroes and make unique lines at speed to bring both hands up to a good speed and then sync up both hands
Go Through all the tab and try each exercise 

BEGINNER SWEEP EXERCISE A MINOR

This is an excercise to help you get into sweep picking
IN this video you go through 4 chords & Then invert them up the fret board.
The chords are Am F C & A
This is a Synster Gates exercise but it's also just changing through chords so you can make it your own.

This is an introduction to phrygian dominant
As I explain it's one of the modes of the harmonic minor scale

I reccomend practising this over a phrygian dominiant backing track
