At the end of this year, December 31st, 2020, the $50 tier will no longer grant the "gets to have an item in the mod" benefit. If you donate, or have donated, $50 before this date you will still get an item in the mod. The item benefit will be replaced with a different benefit at the start of 2021.
The reasoning for this is because our team has accumulated a large backlog of patron items...

The dev team has created a Patreon and dev-only Discord server, so that Patrons can interact directly with the devs. The $10, $20 and $50 tiers will have access to that place, with each tier giving access to different channels.
$10 - Grants access to the server and the basic dev chats, where you can chat about various topics directly with the devs.

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays everyone! Unfortunately, progress has been rather slow as of late, due to many devs going on break over the holidays. We hope to resume our normal plans for a huge batch of Patreon items once the new year begins.
As a teaser for upcoming content, we are working on a large expansion for the Sulphur Sea biome, which will include a new Acid Rain event, enemies...
The plan is, hopefully, that we'll have 15 more patreon items sprited and programmed for the full release of the 1.4.2.201 update. This shouldn't take us too long once we get to it.
I also hope the 1.4 Terraria update doesn't slow mod progress down much since it's rumored to be coming out this year.
