Swamp Shrine, Adept

This week's swamp map is the Swamp Shrine (25x30), a nice place for a swampy adventure to wrap up with a battle focused around some magic stones. With that in mind, your extra version is this 'Glowing' one, where I've added some eye-catching magical effects to the night version as well as additional dramatic lighting.

Swamp Shrine, Expert

More swamp maps! This time it's the Swamp Shrine (25x30), a spooky place where you know the locals meet for mysterious rituals. Maybe your players notice shadowy figures creeping out of the village at night in dark robes and eventually following them here, where they discover the evil patron (a demon/coven of witches/swamp monster) of the swamp which offers protection to the villagers in exchan...

Swamp Ruins

5/17 Update: So sorry about the mixup- I was away from my computer all day yesterday and didn't notice I had uploaded the incorrect files until this morning! Everything is in the correct place now.

This week I made the Swamp Ruins (30x30), another new swampy map to accompany last week's! I haven't made very many swamp maps, so I felt it might be nice to go ahead and add a...

Hi folks! I'm back with another swamp map, the Swamp Ruins (30x30)! As I mentioned last week, I was pretty happy with the new color palette I whipped up for future swamps, and ...

Hi Experts and Masters! I'm back again with my second swamp map in a row, the Swamp Ruins (30x30). This one is kinda a throwback to my earlier ruins maps, featuring a number of...

Swamp Village

Hello everyone! I'm back with a new map, the Swamp Village (30x30), a stilt town somewhere in the swamps/jungle. I tried to keep the palette nice and vibrant, though still a little swampy so you could potentially use this in either environment, though I did use my recent jungle maps as a jumping-off point for this rather than my previous swamp maps (which I'm not 100% happy with honestly). ...

Swamp Village, Adept

Hello Adepts! This week's map is the Swamp Village (30x30), a little collection of wooden pathways and thatch-roofed cottages in a bog/jungle with very few viable paths for adventures who walk. With that in mind, you know I'm going to recommend you face your earthbound party off against flying or swimming enemies! I personally think giant bugs would be perfect here, but lizardfolk or a hydra wo...

Hi folks! This week I made the Swamp Village (30x30), a rare swampy map! This place feels like a cool place to fight some giant, bloodsucking creatures, or maybe some unhappy locals who don't much appreciate you adventurin' folks sticking your noses in other people's business.

Your alternate versions of this map are Fey and Foggy, both of which felt like appropriate iterations that ...

Desert Shrine

Hello everyone, this week's map is the Desert Shrine (24x24)! I made a somewhat smaller map this week since I was a little short on time, but since desert maps are always in demand I figured few of you would be disappointed. Anyway, who doesn't like ruin maps??

And, as I usually do with my desert maps, I made a winter version for the Adept patrons and an underwater one for the Experts, wh...

Desert Shrine, Adept

I'm back again with a new one, the Desert Shrine (24x24)! This map is a nice and simple asymmetrical map, which are my personal favorite. Centering on a small central platform, we've got a recessed trench to one side which is a perfect place to get some cover when out on the dunes, with a stretch of open ground to the other side. While it's pretty barebones, I feel like they realistically would...

I'm back this week with another desert map, the Desert Shrine (24x24). I was pretty short on time so it ended up a little smaller than I expected, but even so I tried to make sure it had some interesting terrain. But anyway, let's talk about your extra versions!

Town Hall

Hey folks, quick post this week! This time around I made the Town Hall (20x20), a fairly straightforward multi-level building with all the essentials: offices, gathering spaces, and an xtra small dungeon. As I've previously promised, just about every building map I make from now on will come with extra versions which include the roof, so no longer will you need to struggle to describe roof tile...

Town Hall, Adept

I'm back again with a fresh building map, the Town Hall (20x20)! Wow, it's such a pain to make maps with multiple levels! I usually like to keep my Photoshop layers pretty straightforward, which is just about impossible when you have 4 levels of building to keep track of. It could have been a lot easier if I had decided to scale back this map in a couple ways, but I felt I'd be doing it a disse...

Hi Experts and Masters! This week I made the Town Hall (20x20), a tidy little building prominently featuring a gathering hall for your locals to voice their complaints. I'm sure there's an adventure somewhere for your players to get involved with, right?

Anyway, your extra versions of this map are Sunset and Subdued, two classics which I love to bring back for urban maps. Subdued es...

Shipwreck

Hi folks, this week I made a nice little Shipwreck (25x20) map for you! Nothing too complicated, just a stretch of beach with the remains of a ship washed up on shore. As with many of my maps with a single clear set-piece, I kept the size fairly small in an attempt to keep the emphasis on the wreck itself, though you could very easily add your own grid to the Gridless version in the files below...

Shipwreck, Adept

I'm back again with a new map, the Shipwreck (25x20)- a rare map with a single word name. I tried out several other titles, but at the end of the day it's really a very standard map and it seemed unnecessary to overcomplicate things.

Your alternate version this time is a good one, a version of the map without the shipwreck which I'm calling 'Beach'. How handy is that? This is just a...

Howdy Experts and Masters! This week I made the Shipwreck (25x20), a simple map with plenty of possibilities of interesting encounters. In fact, it was in a location like this that I nearly wiped my players' first party in my homebrew campaign, as a NPC they were escorting got them tied up in an encounter with Sahuagin who were digging through some wreckage, including the bodies of a few washed...

Green Dragon Lair

Hi everyone! I'm back again with the next map from the poll, the Green Dragon Lair (30x35). Specifically, it was listed as a Dragon Lair on the poll, so I decided to go ahead and make one for a Green Dragon, since I thought it would be nice for accompanying my existing library of maps, which heavily features forests. And, I felt it would probably be a good idea to leave the dragon's security up...

Green Dragon Lair, Adept

This week I made the Green Dragon Lair (30x35), which is mostly just a cave in the forest with a big gold hoard in the corner. As it turns out, dragon lairs are usually just caves, who would have thought? I was under the impression that they resided in big fortresses or something, but I suppose I had the wrong idea since a quick glance at the Monster Manuel shows that these bad boys do in fact ...

Green Dragon Lair, Expert

Hi Experts and Masters! This week's map is the Green Dragon Lair (30x35), a cave big enough for a decently sized dragon to get a few flaps in while raining poisonous gas down on your players. I left many of the specifics up to you, including any defenses the dragon might have placed on its lair, but I'm sure you won't have any trouble finding ways to make this a spicy encounter.

Hello folks, this week's map is the Cliffside Village (30x30, the winner of Poll 11! I've always a little hesitant to make cliff maps in the past since I wasn't sure how well a cliff would read from above, but I've worked out a few ways that I think help get the idea across. Hi Adepts! This week I made the Cliffside Village (30x30), a dangerous map where some villagers settled down for some reason. Welcome back everyone, for another poll! I had so many excellent suggestions for this one, I'm excited to see what you all choose. Last time there were quite a few requests for more pirate-themed maps, which I'm 100% into, so you'll notice a slight emphasis on that theme below. Also, a few of you mentioned a desire for a 'Frog Temple', which isn't that odd but it's strange that it came up twice...
