Since many have been asking, here's a little tip/reminder on how to handle your overlays~

Overlay layer mode can be very confusing with the complex ways it mixes colors and values, so it might be useful to learn some basic principles behind it's logic and use them as pointers on the roadmap towards your goal. Hope this helps!
