A Rodent of Unusual Size 1-2

Tanya shivered as she rushed down the sidewalk, a hurried hitch in her step.  The meerkat woman never acclimated to Midwestern weather, despite spending a majority of her life up north.

She pulled out her flip phone, grumbling to herself as she stared at a dead notification screen.  Of course she forgot to charge it again.  Not that it mattered.  Once Vicki em...

A Rodent of Unusual Size 1-1

A haze surrounds the area; the intrepid group of explorers traverse the gaping maw of the chasm’s darkest crevices, its stalactites intentionally sharpened into the shape of deadly fangs.  The smell of brimstone and charred flesh creates a miasma that makes your blood run cold.  The smoke eventually parts, revealing what lies ahead; a veritable trove of glittering gems and glimm...

Quick update, part 2!

Hey everyone!  This will probably be a rehash of the last post, but I prefer being transparent over keeping silent.

Anyway, I have the first couple of parts of A Rodent of Unusual Size (and yes, that will be the title because I find that more exciting than an acronym) just about ready to go, with the third episode ready for proofreading, and the rest of the first ma...

Quick update!

Sorry about the quiet as of late, but wanted to let everyone know I'm hard at work on the next serial which should start up next month, so payments should resume as normal.  I do plan on throwing up a think piece or two in the coming weeks in preparation for what's to come.

Thank you again for being patient with me, and I promise to make this all worth the wait!

Planning for the next story is underway! And it's about...R.O.U.S.es???

Well, *one* R.O.U.S. in particular, whether she wants to be or not. :)

I'm still in the preliminary stages for my next serial (because while I am still resting up from Dogs Chase Squirrels, you never really *stop* writing), which will feature a new character, a new setting, and hopefully a new challenge for me to dive into -- at my own pace.

Admittedly, the idea st...

Freezing payments for February

Hey, everyone!  I'm still taking some downtime after finishing up the serial, and I'd feel bad about charging you all without something to show for it, so I've made the decision to freeze February's payment cycle.  You shouldn't be charged for next month.

I'm slowly poking at some thoughts about what to do next, and when I have something I want to sink my teeth into, I'll let yo...

Dogs Chase Squirrels Afterword

A whole year.  Hard to believe Dogs Chase Squirrels started back in the beginning of 2020, when the world looked slightly more optimistic and less...well, like what we ended up with.

While not the largest project I’ve ever planned, Dogs Chase Squirrels is certainly the largest project I’ve seen to “completion”.  (I use quotation marks he...

A New Life

The cougar whistles at the rabbit waitress after she hands him and his friend -- a ferret -- their drinks.  She looks away, flustered, trying to avoid eye contact as she beats a hasty retreat.  The cougar grins as he watches her leave, staring at her cute ass and fluffy tail; all of it tucked away in a red Santa’s Helper costume, with the skirt cut just a bit too short.  Over t...

Back to the grind!

Thanks for your patience, everyone.  Quick update to say that regular posts resume this Saturday!

My horror-themed A.I. story, Command, is finished and will be up for $5 supporters this Saturday, with access to $3 supporters the following week.  Dogs Chase Squirrels resumes October 10th, and (hopefully) will need no further breaks until the fina...

Two acts down, one to go. What's next?

The road towards completing Dogs Chase Squirrels has been long and fraught with periods of struggle, but through a lot of perseverance, we’ve made it to the end of the second major act of the serial.  This arc was a tough one, both for the cast and for myself, and as you’ve noticed, I’ve been taking more frequent breaks in order to recharge and get the creative juice...

Mizella - The White Knight

The bar was unusually quiet tonight, especially for a Saturday, but he wasn’t complaining.  More options, and less competition.  The less he had to work to claim his prize, the better.  Doubly so if he could get past first base.

The rat man (tall, grey and at least passably handsome) nursed his whiskey sours as he picked up on bits of conversations around him.  His e...

Mizella - The Festival

He heard all of the rumors growing up; a powerful witch that lived among the feral beasts, who conjured terrible potions and horrendous curses.  He never believed those stories, not for a second.

Yet, here he was, staring at the trail that led deeper into the woods, his bushy tail flicking back and forth.

He didn’t tell anyone where he was going.  His friends were too bu...

A Starry Night

(Note:  This short story was something I poked at during my down time from the serial.  Originally, it was just supposed to be a wolf staring at the night sky, but with this being me, I decided to make it a little bit more than that.  I wanted to write something, short, sweet, cute and a little bit sad, but hopefully fun to peruse all the same.  I gave this a quick edit,...

Taking a short break.

Hey, folks.  I think I'm hitting another burnout point with the serial, and with writing in general.  I think it's best if I step away for a bit, clear my head.

There won't be a post this Saturday.  If I feel that I'll need more time, I'll let you know.  Thank you for being patient with me.

Dogs Chase Squirrels 14 - My Turn

Author's Note: This particular episode is NSFW -- or at least more so than any other episode up to this point.  Fair warning if you're sensitive to two cute and sexy girls having lesbian sex with one another!  Although if you're read up to this point and it hasn't bothered you yet, then you're *probably* the right audience for this kind of stuff.

Anyway!  Onto th...

Getting back on track.

Hello, everyone!

So, as you've noticed, I don't have a serial post for this week, and I do apologize.  Again, I won't make excuses -- it's been a hard few weeks, and I did come across a bit of writer's block that slowed things down.

That being said, I think I've found my muse again (in more ways than one), and I've been tackling the next part in earnest, and am eagerly plannin...

She's A Big Deal

“Ugh.  I hate flying.”

The buck grumbled quietly, scratching his nose in an effort to ignore the terrible itching around the base of his antlers -- their growth had only ramped up since spring began, and the velvety skin had yet to break around the protrusions, adding to his irritation.  It didn’t help that his ears had yet to pop, giving him a dull headache to boot....

No posts this Saturday. Sorry!

This week kicked my butt.  I just completed training to assist a department that's getting overburdened with requests, which left my brain completely full two days ago, and with no energy to do anything whatsoever.

I was hoping to get She's a Big Deal ready tomorrow, but that has not happened, and I don't want to get anyone's hopes up.  I'll aim for next Sat...

So, here's the game plan...

Hello, everyone.  It’s been a crazy few weeks, hasn’t it?

Since it’s been a while since I’ve talked to you all directly, and because there is a lot happening right now (both inside and outside the life of pretending to be an ever-growing power vixen), I want to take an opportunity to touch base and let you know what’s going on.  It’ll be mostly good news, I pr...

Dogs Chase Squirrels 13 - Do or Die

Forrester Library was busy tonight, much to Irene’s surprise.

The main foyer was small and quaint, with several portraits aligned on the wall, leading to a door a short distance away.  Upon opening the door, the library opened up, extending around her in all directions, its open space adorned with bookshelves, filled to the brim with books old and new.  In the center of ...

Dogs Chase Squirrels 12 - Damage Control

Irene could feel the wind nipping at her cheeks as she whizzed past a car going fifteen miles per hour slower than it should have been.  Her arm reached out to flip the bird at the driver as she passed them by.  Her moped was still a champ during the winter months, whether it was on surface or highway, and the last thing she needed was someone who didn’t know how to drive in clear c...

“Odd, I always keep my glasses there,” she muttered to herself.  ...

Slight delay for the next serial post...

So, unfortunately, looking at where I am at with the next part for the serial, I'm not quite sure I'll be able to have it ready in time.
