Mikey is the story's protagonist - graphic designer, currently freelancing.
Mikey has found working from home to be quite lonely, and he's thinking seriously about shaking things up.
I wanted Mikey to be quite square despite him being a cat - while still blowing for the roundness of the eyes to come through.

Sam is Mikey's husband - firefighter, BBQ enthusiast and all round great dude.
Sam feel's the toll his job takes on him - both professionally and on his relationship.
These sketches are my first really explorations of Sam's design - it may change as the project progresses, but for now I am happy with them.

Hey fam, I'm still here and still drawing - just with less intensity.
The ramifications of COVID-19 have hit me pretty hard, and it's taken a lot of adjusting to this new way of living we have here in Australia.
Anyway, here's a quick sketch of Tbone I did on my iPad while contemplating things tonight - I'm hoping to get back to colouring Sly Cooper later this week.

With the number of reported cases of COVID-19 increasing here in Australia, it's hard not to feel uneasy.
I worry that soon in Australia we'll to be in mandatory isolation within the next fortnight. It may not eventuate, but it's something I know is on everyones' mind.
I'm still tapping away at content for ya'll, so expect some updates soon.

I've always appreciated the simplicity of lineart - the contrast between the line and negative space is always lost once colour is added. Plus I just wanted to add some detail shots because I'm pretty happy with how the varied line weight came out in this one. :D
