Here a special winter update! Not so special for you here on Patreon since you already receive winter updates. But it’s special because this one is also on Youtube! First time we do a public upload in winter!
It felt like a nice moment to reflect on the last 5 years and look what is coming next. Looking forward also comes with challenges. Coincidentally, it is also u...
In this first winter post we bring you some pictures on how things are doing at kamp now almost everyone is away, some pictures to update on the planted and seeded areas, small news and a cool comparison with drone pictures on how the land evolved over the year. Hope you like it!...
This week is the last episode of this season. 😢 We planted and seeded the bare soil we left from our landscaping projects, finished the Granite Ruin with some nice second-hand furniture, and wrapped up Kamp for this season as we head into our winter break. A lot of stuff, so t...
This week's video shows what we did on the Brick ruin before the season ends. We got a lot done, like securing the walls, putting in windows and doors, and rebuilding the outside wall. We also built the inside walls with hemp blocks, which we were excited to try. Finally, we mad...
This week's video features again the Landscaping team (yeah, they work like crazy) opening new areas in the Middle Land. Although we did many projects since we bought it, we still have areas to open to see what we can do with them in the future. A lot of chopping, brushcutting and last digger project of the season. Hope you enjoy it!
This week marks the beginning of the end; there are only three updates left for Season 5 (#167 will be the last). It’s a bittersweet feeling 🥲. For now, we are wrapping up the Granite Ruin, with the landscaping team clearing the mimosas from the perimeter 🌿. Meanwhile, Julie embarks on a new adventure exploring Portuguese second-hand shops to find the furniture we wil...
This week we finally bring you some update on the brick ruin. 🧱 We will still have another update on it this season, but for now we have the roof and the floor ready to show. Also Liam and Oguzhan left while Benno and Amelie joined, and this video shows a glimpse of that side of Kamp, where people handover their work to the next ones and we all contribute to a common missi...
This week we bring you the building of the outdoor kitchen for the granite ruin. 🥘 It was started by Menno and finished by Josie. Good example of a project being handover to a new Kamper, and a showcase of these two super-skilled makers. 🪚🤝
This week we bring you a couple of much needed upgrades at Basekamp. This year we have been slightly less people at the same time, but many more people came with vans 🚐 and we are also doing more projects and using more powertools. 🛠️🔌 So we went making more spaces for vans in an area we started clearing beginning of last season 🌳 (2025-10-06 14:00:31 +0000 UTC

This week marks the final project for Miguel before he leaves Kamp. It’s quite a challenge to manage humidity in a semi-underground room, especially when using natural materials. However, Miguel is going to experiment with some techniques, and we’ll see how they hold up when...
this week our update shows the de-rooting and re-shaping of the Community Center area. This project was a long one, mostly because we had some problems with the digger and we decided to re-arrange our projects' schedule, and then we had fire restrictions, so we could only work un...
This week we got two videos, cause we bring our new Challenges video (#158) and the 3rd Q&A of the season. We have some exciting news and a good amount of Kamp life in these ones. Hope you enjoy them!
This week, we’re excited to present our Season 5 One Shot Video. Already a classic, for this episode we have Dave as the presenter. Interestingly, he seems a bit out of place since he spends most of his time away from Kamp, taking care of Mia and working on launching a new vers...
Here we are again! It’s hard to believe that two months have already passed since our last Q&A. It’s time to gather your questions for the upcoming challenges video. You can drop them in the comments of this post. We’ll select the best ones—or at least those we can an...
This week, we have some significant updates regarding the Brick Ruin renovation. The foundations and main structure are now ready, and we can begin work on the roof. Additionally, we have some exciting introductions of Kampers, along with an unexpected event...
This week, we bring you an update filled with a variety of stories: land maintenance, exploration, and a visit from our neighbors to Kamp. All of these stories are connected to the larger narrative of a region where the countryside is abandoned, invasive species are spreading, and wi...
This week, we continue our work on the Granite ruin/house. We will be plastering the top room using natural materials, transforming the rough rock walls into a beautifully polished finish. Miguel will guide us through the process and add some creative touches at the end. We hope you enjoy it!
This week, we have two cool projects led by women. First, Monique is building a custom door using leftover materials. After that, Julie and Alana will update us on an experiment they started a year ago to eliminate mimosas.
This week, we’re excited to share an important milestone for Kamp. We have successfully extended our water distribution system to the Middle Land and the Office. Although we’ve been working in and using these areas beyond Base Kamp for some time, having the pipes laid underground feels like a more solid and settled step. 💧
We wanted to share something special with you: our preview of the V5 crowdfunding campaign website.
It’s not public yet and will go online next month, 1st September. But we thought it would be nice to give you early access and getting your feedback as a thank you for supporting us all this time 🙏
This week, we’re excited to share the construction and assembly of a large dry storage space for our second-hand materials. As we get closer to building the community center, it’s time to start preparing everything! 🧱
This week, we’re starting the renovation of the brick ruin. With the help of Oguzhan, we will assess the condition of the ruin, create a plan, and begin some demolition work. We hope you enjoy following along! 🧱 🏚️ 🛠️
This week, we bring you some kitchen adventures involving the picking and processing of oranges, as well as an update on the bee situation we encountered a few weeks ago.

We set a date to release the next step for Precious Plastic! 🔥 Dave announced it today during a presentation on Fab25. A global meeting of Fablabs around the world. You can see his talk here -around 2:13
This week, we bring you an update on Basekamp Lake. We shaped one side in Season 3, and now we will shape the other side to create a gentle slope. The back part still needs work, but that will be for the future. We hope you enjoy it as much as our landscaping team does! 🚜🪓🌳
We're excited to announce that our challenges video and the second Q&A exclusively for Patreons will be coming soon! 💪 If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments of this post by Wednesday, July 2nd. While we may not be able to answer every question, we'll do our best! 🍀
This week we will finish the roof extension of the Granite ruin. Still to come the interior of the walls, the outdoor kitchen and we need to do something with that bottom room... for now the let's see how the roof goes.
This week we get back to the Granite Ruin 🏠 to work on the floor inside. What's special about it? We will make our own insulation panels out of clay and straw. It's a bit of a new try for us, but we count on Miguel who has been learning about it for some time. He wouldn't consider himself an expert, but he knows something about it.
