I have, as of this morning, completed my first draft of Augur Book 2.

I have quite a lot of editing I'll need to do - my editor has already done passes through the first 11 or 12 chapters that I need to go through - but I think the basic story structure is unlikely to change at this point.

This is going to be a long chapter. I'm about 7000 words in (for reference, chapter 17 was ~9000 words in total), and I don't think I'm even 1/3rd of the way through what I want to happen. I may wind up splitting it up into multiple chapters, depending on the pacing and how everything feels.

I probably re-wrote more of this chapter than any other, and I'm still not convinced that this is it's 'final form'. Finding the balance between spending enough time on Tzila to showcase her character (and her particular kinks and perversions) and the non-Tzila related activities has been a challenge, but I think it's paying off. I'm really pretty pleased with how Tzila's storyline is shaping up. It took me a little while to get a feel for the character, but she's really starting to come alive in the most delightful way as things progress.

Near future writing forecast

Just to give an idea of my current plans:

I am going to try to complete the current story arc of Augur B2, which will conclude the book (and will probably take somewhere between 3-4 chapters, so probably around 30-40k words.) That'll make the total word count of Book 2 around 10-15% higher than Book 1.

I will most likely spend a little time working on Dark Path and/or Magic Notebook...
