I loved drawing his muzzle :)
The techniques in this are putting the pigment in and then gently lifting where the highlights are - works really well :)
Looking forward to seeing your work in progress. Don't forget to credit me and Rose from Daydream Equine Photography.

You may want to get your magnifying glasses out for this bit!
Now I kind of cocked up the crown bit, and actually I should have worked out the angles etc first before drawing it in - so I would encourage you to do that - don't be lazy like I was lol!
Sound - I still don't have curtains up in the studio which is making it a little echoey, please bear with me until the studio is...

This is what we'll be drawing in August. Blue Husky eye :) I'll be including the hair around the eye as that's quite a tricky thing to draw. My initial thinking is drafting film for this one.

Let me know which you'd like to see in August as the main tutorial.
Girl would be done on white pastelmat board, GS either pastelmat or drafting film.
I am very hopeful I'll be back in my studio on Saturday :) I cannot wait! I have a very busy recording schedule to get through - starting with more of Perseus and then the grey horse - I do apologise for not sharing any videos in the last few weeks - it's just been impossible to record in the kitchen sadly.
Hope you're all well
Bonny xx

I’ll be going live in the Patreon Facebook group tonight at 8pm when it’s a bit cooler hopefully. This isn’t a draw along more a q&a and chat as I draw and explain what I’m doing. My own photo im working on dark grey pastelmat board with polychromos, museums, luminance and pablos 🥰

NB YOU HAVE TO BE A MEMBER OF THE PATREON FACEBOOK GROUP TO VIEW.
Here are the facebook group links of the live streams I did on Saturday.
Thank you all who joined me - these are great sessions where you can ask questions etc. and I'll be doing more of these :)
I'm going to experiment in streaming via OBS rather than straight out of facebook as the quality is never that ...

Hi everyone - because I can't record at the moment I feel a bit guilty in not giving you any content (I know I shouldn't lol but I do)
So I was thinking would it help if I did a couple of live streams - would be in the Patreon facebook group so exclusive to you guys - I can rig my camera up so that it sees my drawing board but at an angle (not conducive to a tutorial) so you can still see...
2021-07-09 11:27:21 +0000 UTC View PostHi all, I have had a links library for a considerable amount of time but I know some of you don't know about it - I do try to share and pin to facebook and patreon, but it seems to be being missed.
I am so very aware that the navigation in Patreon is quite frankly pants - so I have created an area in my website for all the tutorials so it's easier to find. There's also a video to watch to...

Morning everyone, I hope you're all ok :)
I just wanted to send you a quick update mostly around recordings - as some of you know I have temporarily moved out of my studio as it's being refurbished - new floor (I was constantly tripping or my chair getting stuck on the very old laminate that was in there), new shelving units to hold all my pencils and supplies, and somewhere for my ...

Here she is and she's back for good :)
There's no video in this one - she was destined for my book but we swapped her out at the last minute. So you get to have the step by step :)
Enjoy :)

We've done the Base sketch - I rather like him as he is to be honest.
Now we're going to start adding colour. I've gone quick quickly and this is a much looser style, but that's intentional with this piece as I want you to start relaxing into your drawings and not think about things too much :)

I'm using a loose sketchy technique for this piece, so it's a little quicker but also to get you loosening up. Having a loose style to begin a piece enables movement to creep in - and fur always has movement :)
You can use any paper you wi...

So you voted for the grey horse for your full tutorial which I'm thrilled about - all that leather work as well!
Plus I've decided to create the little Dachshund for the focus - it may turn out really detailed, or I might decide to go a little more sketchy - getting the essence of the form in there and concentrating on the values - I'll see how I'm feeling lol!
And of co...
