You'll see with my noses I don't go in and draw a load of shape lines, I tend to concentrate on the tonal values and create shapes that way.

This is the top part of her head, I explain my pressure usage, and swap around from using the white Caran D'ache Pablo to using the white Caran D'Ache Museum Aquarell - in all honesty it doesn't really matter what white you use, as long as you're getting the effect you want.

So in this part we finish off the left side of her upper head, and then work on my favourite part - the ear! And with this piece it's quite speedy as you don't have to concentrate on loads of details - you're concentrating on values which are so so important. Get your light grey Pablo ready - that's the magic wand in this piece :)
Oh, and it's a whopping 2 hours 10 minutes!

Something I recommend you do all of the time is to always have something under your drawing hand to stop your hand touching the paper you're drawing on.
