This is taking longer than expected. I guess my linework is so detailed it's taking me a while to get things going.  I know I have some cleaning up to do.  And thing I'll be doing a lot of extra details and light and shading and other effects.  Got a long ways to go it seems, so close, yet so far.

I think the flats are coming along nicely.  Did some alterations to his zweihander.  I also think the colors I chose suit Alcaeus nicely too.  The color scheme I have so far is with the theme of military but with a divinity twist to it, that's where my mind is at, so that would explain the types of greens and browns I have with the blade and equipment.  Also a first look at the...

Ok, I believe I'm done with the inking phase.  Now to do the flats...this might take a while.  Time to do some research!

Got a lot of the background done.  Still have some minor things to add but it's coming together nicely I think.  I would've had more done and this updated last night but the internet was shut off at 1 pm due to an accident in the area.  I even went to bed early cause it was hitting 7-8 hours with no internet.   It's up now though, expect more progress!

I think I got the inking part down. I'm not so intimidated as much anymore, just studied a bit more and did some research and found a way that worked better for me.  I think it's turning out great.

Simple Studio

I got everything for my starter desk and studio.  Still getting acquainted with the tablet but I'm feeling pretty confident with how it is turning out.

I'm still trying to do the inking part now.  It's really hard.  I'm trying to put some colors down but I'm kind of stuck and intimidated by the ink phase. It's really hard to control the pen and I'm already wearing it down on this one piece which kind of surprised me.

Here is how far I got tonight.  Getting more detail added.  I feel the details make the piece so that's what I'm going for but I know I don't want to go too overboard, I'm still learning so bear with me.

Restart

Ok, I didn't like how the other one was turning out and I was watching more tutorial videos and familiarizing myself with the Clip Studio Paint.  I just wanted to try again with the same aspect I was going for with Alcaeus in his underwear getting ready to bathe at the falls.

I'm just messing with the colors and finding a coloring style that suits me.  Just takes practice ya know.

So I'm still familiarizing myself with the tools, I'm just seeing what I can do.  Today I messed with my pen sensitivity and the tablet shortcuts.  I also think I found my favorite font for now.  I want to try seeing what I can do with watercolor and see if things turn out well.  I can't wait to see it uncover more though and I think I'm doing well for one that is pretty new to...

November Update (WIP)

Things are looking pretty great so far, it's kind of intimidating but I know with practice I'll get used to using the tablet.  I'm a little scared of doing color now with how things are, I just don't want things to be too complicated I guess. ^^

Training

Ok, so now I got my desk and computer set up, now I'm going to be acquainting myself with the tablet and familiarizing myself with color and digital work!  So before I head full on my graphic novel I find it best to learn the basics.  Don't worry, this project I'm working on is Decisive Desire related.  I'll put up my rough draft I'm going off of on digital practice.

Tomorrow is my last day, then I have all the time to put towards Decisive Desire.  So excited, either going to town to get my computer this weekend or the next but it's really soon!  So pumped!  I'm considering starting over from page 1 and reworking some things until I get to current which is page 13 which is in progress.

Hanging In There

I'm about to get my computer within the month I believe, maybe 2.  But here soon I'll have to be fully fledging myself to my graphic novel with the free time I'm about to have.  I'm super excited to get working with these new tools.  But I'm also scared and very nervous about Decisive Desire's future, I'm keeping my head up.  Staying positive for what's to come and hopefully I'...

Studio

Getting my equipment together.  Received my desk and chair, took about 4 hours to put everything together.  Also got a small table for free that I'm going to be using to put my scanner and in the future a printer on.  Got a keyboard and my Intuos Comic tablet.  Now to save up for my computer and software for working on Decisive Desire.

Getting Settled

Apart from me working hard and getting stuff unpacked I'm doing good, just got the desk from the old place and fiancé set up his computer so I can now at least get on the internet.  Pulled a 12 hour shift on Thursday and a 11 hour shift yesterday.  I'm hoping I can get my art supplies soonish and show progress of my studio.   I'm hoping I can get some new stuff up soon too!

New Home

This is the place where we are moving too, it's a bit run down but we will be fixing it up.  

Studio Room

I'm moving tomorrow on Monday but this is where my studio will be where I'll be creating Decisive Desire in and other creative works.

Housing Update

Well this Monday we will be going in to sign our paperwork to rent our new home and we will be able to move in August 1st I believe.  I got to see our new place.  First time having my own home besides an apartment, we are still renting it but it's the next best thing.  We have a fenced in front and back yard, but our house is really small (smaller than what we live in now) and it's ...

My internet got shut off but got it turned back on today. I did this quick doodle on my phone while at work on break. Its super hard to do lines. But did this for the 9 gods in Decisive Desire. I barely have any time after work to do anything and playing catch up when on the weekends. Well we got notified today and we didn't get the house unfortunately.
