Imagine there's only one specific area in your world where a unique plant grows. It's known for this plant, has towns/cities, roads, etc. named after it. There's annual festivals celebrating it, weddings are themed around it, so on and so forth. Or maybe it's a deadly plant that produces a unique poison only a specific group of assassins use!
