World Building Prompt: Map the Stars

How close/far are they? What legends have sprung up from their designs? Which ones are universal to your entire planet and what ones have different names/stories in different regions? Is there a religion based on them? What is the name of the organizations dedicated to studying them? What ones does every sailor know by heart? How do they change throughout the year? What stories explain the coming & going of certain constellations? How do your cultures explain what they are and how they got there? You may not want to map the entire sky but even a few prominent ones are sure to spark your players/readers interests!
