Great progress but just need a little extra help today

I’m making a lot of great progress bringing things in New York City to much more positive place. Today was Memorial Day so I took a break from performing but still need to move things forward.

Just $40 to my goal then back to performing tomorrow

Snow in NYC

Happy Super Bowl Sunday, everyone.

I’ve been out, performing almost every day this winter. And today I need a little breather.

I feel a cold coming on and I need to make sure that it doesn’t get any worse .

Just one $20 donation gets me a whole day off.

Maybe rather than betting on your favorite Super Bowl team, you can bet on me instead. I think I’m a safe be...

You are the lights of my life

You are the lights

I installed a lighting system in my parents backyard last summer. It’s been snowing quite a lot this winter yet. I did a good enough job with the lights that they shine on.

I think it’s a metaphor for you guys. So many people are horrible to me and making me adhere to their rules that make life so difficult.

But you are the lights of my life. You ar...

Still awesome

During these tremendously challenging times, usually I look in the mirror and I see someone tired and kind of beat up. Although I’m working 24/7 to make things more positive. I looked in the mirror this morning, and I felt strong,

I will not feel ashamed or reluctant to ask for more donations as this process continues. Those who know me well know extra support from you guys is needed ...

Happy Holidays

I’m working as hard as I can 24/7 to bring more love understanding and connection into our world. Here and there I think there are actually a few concrete results. Some of you may have noticed.

Making the world a better place is unfortunately, an unpaid position. If any of you would care to donate just a bit more I would really appreciate it. Let’s keep moving forward!

Keeping the music going

I’m doing everything I can to keep the music going in New York City. As the cold weather moves in things always get harder and more stressful. To keep my phone on and all of my bills in good order I need to make about $200 today and tomorrow. If anyone here is willing to do anything extra, it would be a great help. It’s just barely about freezing today.

Art back in nyc September

Just want to remind everyone I’m still making beautiful art and I’ll be back in New York City next month. I’ll also get back to playing classical music again soon as well. I think this visual arts phase I’m going through has enabled me to understand the essence of beauty in ways I never have before. I hope, you enjoy it as well

painting

I had pretty much everything in order these past few days in New York City. I found a new storage space for the piano and I finished another painting which I was planning on selling to fund my next week of life. But it was stolen! Which is troubling for obvious reasons but also fascinating. Who steals art! I’ve heard about people going into museums and replacing the master works with fakes. ...

Art

Visual art was my focus until I was about 11 years old. Then music took over. But the current state of my life enabled me to put focus into the visual arts again. I definitely still have a knack for it.

I’m enroute to nyc to give a presentation at the UN. Being an accomplished artist on many levels still doesn’t allow me to pay my cell phone bill or have enough money to make ends mee...

Painting of my father

One day at a time I rebuild my life. Based on people’s reaction to me during this process, it feels as if people have forgotten my ability to create beautiful things. Anyways, here’s a reminder.

I still need more support if anyone is willing

Portrait of the artist as a young man

I did these paintings when I was 9 and 10 years old. By the time I was 11 music had become my main focus in life and I pretty much gave up visual arts.

To me they Express many of the feelings I continue to feel until this day. I see love of life and nature but also tremendous loneliness and pain.

I still need to raise $30 to cover random expenses. But Despite what anyone may think...

In addition to the new piano on its way, I’ve been invited to perform at the United Nations General assembly next month. Great and positive things are in the works!!

A friends last words to me

This was the last message he wrote me. He passed away the next day.

My positivity has a lot to do with you. Remember you are a part of everything in the beginning. So yes I definitely give you a lot of credit for where I am at nowadays. Also you helped a lot with my mental health by treating me like a regular human being and giving me an opportunity to work with you and getting...

Any pointers on how to be chill despite proverbial hell raining down?

I bumped into a Couple friends yesterday and was determined to not act pathetic or in need of this or that. I tried to just keep the attention of the conversation off myself and on whatever it was they were up to. Eventually the horribleness of my situation could not remain hidden and discussing the horribleness feeling on the edge of tears soon took main stage.

Then kind of abruptly. A ...

Progress so positive you might even feel yourself

I hope I’m not being overly confident. But if you happen to feel a little extra joy for today coming from the nyc area, i’ll go ahead and take credit for that.

Yesterday I was able to do it on a shoestring budget. Unfortunately, today will require a bit more, likely $200 if I’m going to do it right. Hopefully we can make it happen so I can keep the gravy train rolling.

What keeping things positive fully demands

I spent all day yesterday and this evening contemplating how to stay positive with such negativity surrounding me. I found a solution. It’s unconventional as always. But for the time being, it really is thought of the hour.

In my last post i talked about how I understood how the parks department and NYPD and sanitation worked together to remove my piano and trash it. It stirs up so muc...

Parks dept, NYPD, sanitation all worked together, picked up my piano, and demolished it.

It was one of the best Sounding pianos in New York City. Steinway model B. I did a fundraiser for 30,000 for it and invested another $30000 of my own saved money.

It was a 1959 New York Steinway. Built from iron that was originally supposed to be used in the American military for World War II. But the Steinway organization refused to let it be turned into something that kills people. Th...

Understanding my work

I do my best to stay positive and forward thinking despite whatever negativity surrounds me. I've mentioned before the goal of this hermit phase I'll hopefully be wrapping up soon was to better understand the nature of pain and trauma and how they manifest themselves in our communities. It required me to dive headfirst into some of the worst possible places that most of us try to pretend don't ...

Sometimes efforts are too great to have been made in vain

Resolving the trauma of combat in War

I wrote recently about my efforts to resolve PTSD in someone who had experienced being a child soldier in Africa. I SUCCEEDED.

And for some reason my success is often followed by negativity. It's as if the negativity and pain of this individual is seeking revenge, such that I might regret my actions.

Since my success I've gotte...

I haven't eaten in two days. Venmo is all that works right now. I've enjoyed fasting/cleansing in the past. but it's best to do this by my own volition.

A little rant and request for breakfast

Some of you may have remembered I posted some information about someone I met from Senegal. He had unfortunately experienced being a child soldier there about 10 or 15 years ago. He is a perfect example of someone who had trauma so intense I couldn't help him. Even just being around pain that enormous induces nausea after like 20 minutes.
