Here's a first pass at a cover for NH#1. This was before even the original promo image was first designed, so this one goes pretty far back!
The idea of this cover was to focus on each lead character's area of expertise, but ended up being too cluttered with no real place to rest your eye.

NEW HORIZON #2 doesn't start until sometime in October, so here's a little preview of the next cover! Fun fact- the scene depicted doesn't actually take place in NH#2. It's actually from the end of #1! That being said, while I like how this cover is coming along a lot, not being representative of #2 puts me at a bit of a draw. Will this remain the final cover design? We'll have to wait and see!

Here's some "official artwork" for a fake game idea I have called Super Mario Mania. Taking obvious cues from Sonic Mania, Mario Mania is designed to take from the SNES to N64 era of Mario design and see what a 2D platformer would look like if made around then.
Directly translating Sonic Mania's fanservice romp to Mario doesn't exactly work when there aren't a lot of distinctly memorable locales...

Ivory's remained fairly consistent design-wise much like Guy throughout all of her iterations. Her hair's changed shape a handful of times and she's gotten a bit stockier to help differentiate her from the others, but other than that it's been relatively straightforward. She's one of the more expressive characters, matching her personality, which allows her to get a pretty far reach of faces.

Guy's gone through a handful of design changes, mostly ones that would make his outfit more grounded to fit with everyone elses'. A big change that he's gotten is eyebrows, believe it or not- his eyes being invisible was an element that contributed to his original personality, which was very deadpan, but I figured it was too restrictive to keep up. Now Guy can emote just like everyone else.

This time around it's Anne. Anne's head has progressively grown more and more triangular over the years, which helps her overall body shape not be as tall as it could. Her limbs have also slowly become more and more rubberhose-y as they've gained and lost detail, which also contributes to her stature and of course posture.
