frank is another cool earthbound character i like. i wish he got more screentime, but i like how he's almost used as a "ground level" for the scope of earthbound. you start the game just dealing with the town punks, and by the end of the game you're fighting aliens and monsters and whatever. he gets a well paying job at a burger joint after you beat him. good for him!

wave 4 brings ryu from streets, as well as yuuko and ramona from nichijou and scott pilgrim, respectively. theyre two characters that i like but don't parade around like i do with others, and while i was more into them a few years ago than i am now, they're still important. ryu's ryu though, he's cool.

surprise! i'm trickling out these designs slowly, but i'm starting with both waves 1 and 2. to make up for this discrepancy, i've included a hi-res upload of the wave 2 strip.
between this and last upload, i had to switch to CYMK colors which is not fun. as such, previous characters have their colors
the alt sides for the first wave, showing the same characters with alt palettes. this is one idea i had for the other side of these, though i've also considered doing things like alternate outfits, expressions, or other tweaks of similar complexity. im not 100% sure yet, but i think i'll give each one an alternate palette regardless in the event that i include "chaser" charms or something
