M. Anniversary Special illustration

Tomorrow is gonna be the 37th? or 38th anniversary of our favorite game featuring the Space Bounty Hunter. I did the best I could for the occasion cus' I was busy finishing up commissions.

Midna (Poll Winner)

Through chaos I created order. The process was messy but the final piece is something I'm proud of. There are still some areas I can improve on but I'm satisfied; because despite being demoralized after repeating the piece 4 times, I managed to save the piece while being barely in it.

Twilight Princess is also my favorite LoZ game.

The illustration was very tricky but interesting because I made the lineart before the Chun Li piece but colored it afterwards. EGGNALIS Project 1

Bonus Content for this month. A fun project involving SIGNALIS's Repilka. It was primarily based on the Mynah doll puzzle in Nowhere.

Yeah. I know they aren't really eggs. They're more Nesting doll if anything; a quite impossible nesting doll might I add. Anyways, this project is fun nonetheless. I might work on the Gestalts or go back to drawing quality SIGNALIS artworks.

Sona Buvelle

One of the side quests I finished last month. Ivy in on her way too.

Sona is the first champion I played. I main-ed her later when I came back in 2016. I'm 1 and 1/2 years sober from League and I'm never going back. Nonetheless, she has been a treat to work.

Probably my best work this month. I've applied what I've learned from artists such as Saiga (Rendering), Alleria (Process), and maybe a little from Mika and Yoneyama (Effects). But alas I have to finish the piece myself. As an artist, I think I learned how to "finish the rest of the horse" so to speak.

Space Bounty Hunter

This is this month's illustration of our favorite Space Bounty Hunter.

Lot's of lessons were learned during the making of this piece. For one, the line art really limits the piece but at the same time provide control in the illustration. But eventually, I was able to have the smoothest paint-over.

You can tell I'm just warming up for this month. Didn't expect that the piece would end up simpler than expected but nonetheless I'm happy that I scratched my Christie drawing itch.

EVE Stellar Blade

Now that I have drawn her, I might as well find a way to play the game. I'm a big fan of their director, Hyung-Tae Kim back in the day. If you ever heard of Blade and Soul, his art was so inspiring. I even managed to rip an artbook online, and that became a bit of a basis of my style today.

Decided to mix things up and made a head-to-bust portrait style. I had fond memories with Fire Emblem Fates; I got Conquest first before Birthright. It taught me the game the hard way, and you get Camilla at the best time. Married her with my Corrin on my second playthrough ;)
