For this mini I really wanted to use more of my AK paints since I love the consistency. They were especially pleasant to work with for the black clothing and armor. Despite the latter being a light color, the paints cover really well over the black primer. The consistency of the paint is somewhere between Citadel Layer Paints and Vallejo...

Scratching the fantasy itch, here's a painting guide for one of Turnip28's Fodder infantry. Sculpts from this range are really whacky and charming, it reminds me a lot of the game Little Nightmares.

I was going for something closer to the original Bakunin scheme here. Most enjoyable part of this mini was the sword, even though it was a bit awkward to paint because the arm was glued on.

This is like the fourth or fifth time I've painted this guy and I'm pretty happy with how this one came out. I think the color scheme is suitably "Mercenary" and it'd probably work really well on some Druze too.

The original color schemes for much of the Combined Army was very chaotic— Shasvastii had about 3 or 4 different schemes just within their line!
This combo of greens and black, found on the original Noctifiers, are my favorite so of course I wanted to try and replicate it on the current minis.
