The pre-release gallery is filling up! Now all the art from the fantastic, once-in-a-lifetime, Blekkmetal is up. Blekkmetal was a celebration of early 90's Norwegian Black Metal and tattooing. Unfortunately, I didn't get to experience much of the tattoo-aspect, but I did get to draw every band playing. There were a lot of sets will old-school black metal, full of songs not played in a long while, ...

The pre-release gallery is filling up, this time with Jagged Vision and High on Fire. Jagged Vision stepped in at last minute, and pulled of a hell of a show despite some technical difficulties. High on Fire was...

Just uploaded live sketches of Vredehammer, Vreid, and Keep of Kalessin at Hulen 24th of October 2015 to the pre-release gallery. A good friend saw Vreid for the first time that evening, and drunkenly described it as such "I'v...

'appy New Year!
Let's start with publishing all the art from this years #inktober in the same gallery as last years. Making it an #inktober super-gallery!
All the #inktober art is drawn daily all through October, directly with brush and ink, no sketching or pencilling allowed.
Check it out here: 2016-01-16 09:45:36 +0000 UTC

Merry Happy New Year!
Just a quick post. All the art from Heavy Montreal & Beyond the Gates is finally uploaded to the pre-release gallery. That means Abbath, Gorguts, Faith No More, Neurosis, Bölzer, One Tail One Head, Pig Destroyer, and many more!
Unfortunately I didn't draw as much as I would have liked, due to logistics at HMTL, and due to a broken drawing hand at BTG...

Just added the #inktober scans to the pre-release gallery, and will be adding a whole lot of metal live-sketches in the coming days. For now, and until release, for you patrons only.
Remember, if you want to buy a print, all images are as cheap as possible as long as they're in the pre-release gallery. 1$ profit for me, per print. And there prints are pretty awesome quality.

Last Thursday, before the amazing Blekkmetal Festival, I did a reading of the three Lovecraft prose-poems "Ex-Oblivione", "What The Moon Brings", and "Memory", with my illustrations and music by Bjørn Ognøy and Espen Solheim.
There will be some videos produced from this session, one mulit-cam one and one edited together with the artwork, but first I'd thought I'd share a single-cam un...

Sorry for the lack of updates, but I'm trying to grab a hold of this beast again. First some bad news.
Free Art Fridays are postponed indefinitely. Due to mental and physical considerations, I'm simply not able to do them regularly. Sorry.
Cancelling Free Art Fridays hopefully will make it easier for me to focus on my patreon campaign again, and to deliver you all the goods yo...

Sorry for being away so long. Thanks for the continued support. Posted a little Free Art Friday emergency cast, trying to explain why I've been away for so long. Also seeking requests for the next Free Art Friday, and posting the unposted artworks done so far, at the Free Art Friday gallery. 4 pieces uploaded today.

I think the relaunch of Free Art Friday has been a great success so far. So thank you to all you patrons who make it possible.
We're in the final stretch to reach 400$ by May, and therefore four Free Art Fridays a month, and it seems possible. It was 303$ this morning, and after three generous new pledges, we're at 353$! So any help spreading the word is much appreciated.
In more exciting news, ...

Free Art Friday is the show where I draw your requests, and release them for free for all the world to use commercially or personally. Anything goes. This art is your art.
This time I do a little Lovecraftian extravaganza, with Erich Zann, a more correct Nightgaunt, Azathoth, and Yog-Sothoth, plus Garm in front of Helheim's gate, and.... Undead Captain Stubing.
You can win my illustration of T...

I had the best time at Roadburn Festival, with a great exhibition, and amazing concerts. Due to the stages being difficult to work with, I actually did a lot of just experiencing the festival, seeing great bands, meeting great people, and just feeling great. And it was a pleasure meeting one of you Patrons there as well.
I did get to do a little sketching. 61 sketches all in all. Even though the...

Here's the sketchbook for March.
This time, and this time only, I'm posting it publicly, so that people can have a look at what they get. Next month, it will be exclusive for the 20$ + patrons.
Next months sketchbook is even already thicker and cooler than this one.
The big change in the sketchbook size is because of two things. First of all, I'm more booked with jobs.
Second... I've start...

So, the sketchbook has been a little slim at times. This is changing as we speak.
I've decided to set aside at least half an hour every day to practice my basic draughtsman skills with a pencil. That means life-drawings, landscapes, master copies, studies of different objects or beings, anatomy, perspective and such.
I'm doing this because my skills inking have far surpassed my basic skills, a...

Instead of a refocus, it became an unfocus. In a maelstrom of family-commitments, flu and colds, tons of tiny tasks and hundreds of images to scan, one and a half month swept by with little concrete work done, and little to show for, except the Free Art Friday art (Which has been pretty c...

I'm constantly post-poning the release of my quadrilogy of Lovecraft prose-poems, but I finally got some printed editions of Memory and the look sooo awesome.
So because you all are so awesome as well, I thought I'd let you download it for free, or buy the printed editions, loooong before they will be officially "released".
You can buy the printed version here for 9,99$ + shipping 2015-03-18 18:09:17 +0000 UTC

All 93 concert sketches from Blastfest are now up in the pre-release gallery. And what's more, now you can buy everything in the pre-release gallery, as long as it's there, for 1 dollar more than the print-price itself. So I earn 1 buck each. And that's pretty much the lowest I can go.
The galleries themselves are rearranged to make everything easier. Now you just go to 2015-03-12 09:32:52 +0000 UTC

Hi there! Free Art Friday went haywire, with the stream refusing to work properly. But I did 3 pieces anyhow. The pieces will be scanned as soon as possible, but they're all slightly too large for my scanner. Anyhow, I'm really proud of them. Go to my Facebook to have a look. 2015-02-15 07:31:47 +0000 UTC

EDIT: Sorry, todays LIVE-show is cancelled due to some unforeseen technical troubles. Basically, I did everything the same as the last two times, just at a slightly steadier bitrate, yet the stream fell off again and again and again. No idea why. Working on figuring it out.
But... I'll draw 3 requests today no matter what, and release them for free use, and give the first one away as a prize. So...

I thought I'd write a bit about January, and plans for February.
First things first. January rewards are coming later this week or early next week. Reaching 300$ is amazing, and I hope we can reach 400$ and 4 Free Art Fridays next month.
January went very well for me artistically. Yet still, I didn't reach my goals. Let's review:

Instead of posting one image of What The Moon Brings here every day, as on Facebook, I thought I'd make a gallery of all the art as it's created. Right now I'm 5 days ahead of what I'm publishing on Facebook, and I'll try to keep 5-7 days ahead as often as possible. So check out the gallery....
