MKIII R7 Body release as Alpha!!!

MKIII R7 three ring body is now complete and ready for testing. All Greebles / Fixings are the same as the MKIII R2 (Except the coin slots). Obviously no Charge Port / Data Port doors. All cut and designed for single ring print, no supports etc etc. Files will be in the early bird Patreon share shortly today in the MKIII body folder.

MKIII Body ready to test!

Hi all,

Quick update on the MKIII body. I’ve printed it along with some amazing (and bold) helpers and happy to move to Patreon test, the three rings when assembled with the top ring and lazy Susan is strong! (and light), really pleased. The utility arms and doors work well, greebles fit like a dream. I could list all the features but it’s a great update and my favourite design so far...

Christmas topper

Finally got around to printing my R6 topper. Not the neatest paint job, but actually looks perfect on the top of the tree! Love it. There’s the two bodies and two domes in the Patreon Christmas exclusive folder (more domes will be added).

I've added another Tree Topper dome to the 1/6th exclusive Patreon Christmas Tree topper collection. So we've now got two bodies (Rebel and Imperial) and two domes, R6 and R5.. Next one should be R2 or R4?

3 ring body update

ok. we’ve Printed the 3 body and the skirt, so far looks super.  I’ve ordered some threaded 4mm bar (there’s eight of them, four in the body and four in the shoulders) so should be able to get the full body and skirt together soon. R4 Split dome in the early bird Patreon share

Finally got around to splitting the R4 dome for those with 200mm beds and upwards. It's a 10 part dome and basically a MKIII split up so the greebles from the MKIII will work with this one. 

Skirt done, ready to print

As we continue to test the MKIII body we add the skirt. I'm about 10% through this on my printer and happy so far. It's a single print (orientation as per pic). There's some "pegs" which hold the 6mm bolts in the frame I've not designed yet, but I've added fixing points. Think again, a much simpler and improved version! Christmas Tree Toppers ready (well with one dome)

I've published the Christmas Tree toppers as a exclusive reward to all Patreons, it's in the Patreon folder under Christmas..Exclusive. There's both the Imperial and Rebel body in there and a R6 dome, should all print pretty much with no support. Approx 1/6 scale and will fit on the 200(ish) bed like the Prusa.

New greebles for the MKIII

Single print greebles, which fit perfectly the first ring, I am beyond excited about the MKIII body, less filament, better fittings, lighter, all details sharp due to the 70 degree rule, servo mounts as part of the frame, new utility arm design, the list goes on and on. Printing Ring 2 at the moment so hopefully in a week or so we’ll have a full body!
