Thanks to Mark Brown for the pun, though I didn't have time to actually knock up a thumbnail for this. Maybe I'll swap it up next year at some point.
Thanks Pates!

Hey there you sexy lot, thanks again for supporting me in this endeavour.

Thanks again to both new and long standing patrons for funding this one!
I'm gonna take a short break for a few weeks, play some Mario Maker, spend some time with the girls. I'll still post my Patreon updates and everything too.
Thanks everyone!
Well I had fun making this little one. Fairly straight, not much humour or fantastical elements but neat and concise, like the game 😜
Thanks Pates!
Thanks again to everyone for supporting this channel!
Hope you enjoy this little one!
Thanks to you wonderful legendary muffins for keeping my at-the-moment hobby funded and high quality!
Enjoy!

Thanks again for funding this episode, Pates!
It was a long old haul doing this one, and I think I'm gonna stick to much shorter videos from now on, this just took aaaages!
Thanks again, and I hope you enjoy it!
Hey Pates!
Thanks again to everyone for supporting me! Here's the latest video which looks at beautiful 2D puzzle platformers Gris (pronounced "grease", Spanish for grey).
I actually had some audio issues with this one which I had to use all my audio knowledge to sort out. I don't get a very big window to record audio, so once I realised that there was a buzzing noise, it was too ...
Happy December Pates!
Forgive me, I just spent a good 20-30 minutes setting up and writing this post, ready to publish it, only for Safari to decide it didn't want to load, cauing my to lose the whole lot. (I'm only using Safari temporarily because Chrome has decided to pack it in).
December is always a tough month in terms of finance, deadlines and social organisation, and I hope you all ...

The move all went okay, and I'll back to usual business properly next week, but I'll spend this week catching up on various pieces.
I got an email from Reddit detailing how they're integrating Patreon into their community, so now all you Patrons will automatically get a Patron flair if you post in our community:
Thanks to all of you for supporting me, here's my latest video on Mega Man 11's animation. So I'm moving house in just over a week, and I don't think I'm gonna have time to work on another video for a short while, might be late November I get to work on one again. Unsure if I'll get one or two videos done before the year is out, but we'll see. Hope you enjoy it! Loveyoubye!

I'm really proud of the editing in this one, and I love to see more game design videos on Fez.
Let me know what you think!

Hey Pates,
This is a blog on how freelancing Dad life continues to be, and also an update on everything and projects I'm working on.
So things are pretty busy at the moment, I'm juggling a couple of projects and waiting for others to come in.
Something you have to get used to when freelancing is that some clients "definitely have a client on board" and that "you're definitely needed"...

I had a tonne of fun doing this one, but it'll be good to get back to animation episodes again after this.
Even if you're not a Metroid fan, hopefully you'll find this one interesting in how it disguises tension as fear!

Hey pates,
Being a Dad is a big deal, and I thought it might be a nice idea to share my experiences with what it's like being a freelance animating Dad by writing a blog, for everyone to read.
So I have a beautiful partner, a pre-teen step-daughter and a ten month old baby daughter, and a freelance animation career, while also having a part-time digital airbrushing job if animation work i...
Okay I should probably elaborate; the perfect console for me.
My gaming habits have changed massively over the last couple of years. I treated myself to a PS4 in 2015, the first relatively new console I'd bought in years, and bought it with Shadow of Mordor, Alien: Isolation and Axiom Verge.
Funnily, I'd bought it just a week after P.T had been pulled from the downloads, whi...

We did it, mates!
I got a bit of a boost from Mark Brown the other week for The Importance of Keyframes and PixelProspector on Twitter has been promoting the same video, and it's been snowballing since then really, so I've gone up nearly 4,000 subs in just over two weeks, which I think it pretty impressive.
When they roll it out, I'll be able to use the Community ...

I had fun doing this one, taken me a while, just sort of in evenings and stuff, around family, friends, freelance and personal stuff, so it's been around 6th or 7th on my list of ongoing projects, so it's nice to see it done.

Loveyoubye!

I've actually had a YouTube channel since December 2006, a year after the platform released and became popular.
Back then I used to watch things like Egoraptor's Awesome series, ROM hacks of Sonic games and YouTube Poops (I know, I know).
My first video was actually one of my friend and I messing around with After Effects lens flares, in February 2010.

So something I need to do when creating anything consistently is to refer to a colour palette to keep a unified look.
Something I hate about all my videos so far is the inconsistency with their theme and branding. I started the channel as "retroview", which then moved to a Playlist, and will now go into an "Old Videos" playlist, as they were more reviews of old games. That's no longer the ...
