A Hiatus and One Last Chapter.

Hey everyone, as you have noticed I haven't updated in more than a month. I am incredibly sorry for that, but I've been unable to write anything more for Clone Warrior, this is an issue that has plagued me a lot in stories that I write, one moment I am fine with writing the next it just becomes impossible.

For that reason, this story will be put on indefinite hiatus, and I thank you all f...

(Clone Warrior) Chapter 47: Combat Experience

Small post today, I have been really sick these past three days, and I've only been able to produce a chapter. Also, I would love it if you could comment on any skills you want to see.

“You are Agony.“  Alex pondered over the odd existence he had acquired when he renewed his status. He was actually surprised to feel that he still had a clone still alive somewhere, and he...

(Clone Warrior) Chapter 46: Greater Men Than I

The clones pulled back the arrows with all their power, the bows creaking in minor protest. These bows were not the regular hunter bows made for the unawakened, they were for people who could break rocks off a boulder. It was an odd sensation though, the bow string staying tight and unripped from the force he had applied. They had literally broken rock from a statue with just a pommel of a swor...

Regarding Chapter Length and Update Rate.

I've gotten a lot of people suggesting that I change my chapter length and releasing slower. I have no definite opinion on this, so I will leave this in your hands.

They will be two options:

The first would retain a 1,000 words a day.

The second option would make it 3,000 words every 2 to 3 days.

(Clone Warrior) Chapter 45: Dungeon Core

“HEY MONSTER BUDDIES, YOUR FATHER IS A DUNG COLLECTOR.” The bait clone laughed maniacally, all the worries of death transforming into a dizzying amalgamation of frenzy and oddly ecstasy. There was no honor and respect gained from this whole endeavor, the clone would, in the grand scheme of things, go quietly into the stomachs of monsters. Then why not have the time of his very brief life do...

(Clone Warrior) Chapter 44: Just a burn

Hewert forced his weakened arms to move up to fire a fire bolt, immediately hissing as the heat from the blue fire brushed his skin and cooked the tender meat below. Normally mages were taught to restrict the heat radiation and protect the skin with a thin insulation shield, it was the first thing that any mage that attends the Colleges get taught.

That wasn’t to say that he was a rogue...

(Clone Warrior) Chapter 43: Contemplation

It was a disaster; the landing site of the dungeon was obliterated. The district that had the misfortune of being targeted, simply gone. Not a single stone of the buildings remained, the red light or just the sheer impact strength of the dungeon disintegrated everything into dust.

The land had buckled, forming a lip like hill around the impact site. It was a vantage point that gave prime ...

(Clone Warrior) Chapter 42: Rescue

It was a relief to know that most of the bodies had been buried beneath rubble.

The sight of a singular body made the new clones choke, the person’s death undignified. But that wasn’t what terrified them, it was the motionlessness that the bodies had. Their eyes were still, their chests were still, their whole body was still. Compound on to it the cold blue tint that their skins had t...

(Clone Warrior) Chapter 41: Irrational

Alex’s new shiny pen flitted across the white parchment, each stroke with the appropriate amount of ink, the magic enchantments so basic that they functioned without the need for mana from the users. The bell tower was almost full with gold items and jewels, a big portrait of a family bordered with a golden lining. A vase encrusted with red and blue gems.

He was in the process of catalo...

(Clone Warrior) Chapter 40: Retreat

Fire, death, steel, blood and violence. It all came together to make a battlefield with men and monster eager to cleave and claw each other’s life away. What had first been a normal day on the wall, had rapidly turned into shit once the scouts and patrols retreated, few got back with their lives. They talked of monsters coordinating with intelligence, the gremlins in the black fields abandone...

(Clone Warrior) Chapter 39: Different

Formation instincts kicked in fast for the clones, and they gathered up, their shields and swords pointed towards the statue. The statue was a man and a half high, with ceremonial stone armor on its rugged muscled body. Its facial expression was frozen in an eternal determined stare, with the eyes glowing a baleful Skorn-ish red. It held a great sword wider than Alex’s waist and he guessed th...

Chapter 38: Vindication

The shield wall skidded back a few steps, deep furrows in the ground marking where their feet tried in vain to resist the force of a dozen dogs charging. Yet none of them toppled over, their shields were still unbroken, while their arms still very much able to give back a ruthless counterattack.

The road was narrow enough for the five shield clones to comfortably hold their positions and ...

Chapter 37: Brace!

The group dithered along the road, their eyes staying sharp, snapping to each shadow and mouvement. The clones were wary, this deep into monster infested territory made by the dungeon unnerved them. Each building gave advantage to ambush predators, each rooftop was a prime spot for a nest. Any alleyway was a potentially deadly stampede for boars and bulls.

What had once been fortification...

Chapter 36: Encircled

The soldiers held their ground, their shields bearing the load of a pack of bulls. Enchantments on their armors, shields, and swords flared up to push back against the overwhelming force.

Each one was an awakened, all classless, weak, and terrible in front of real danger but in numbers they were strong. In the future, if they survive this ordeal, they would choose between three traditiona...

Chapter 35: Battle

The cry from a collective of eight people was not to be underestimated. Especially when they all had the same tone, merging to an even grander sound. It sure caught the attention of the combatants. Both the soldiers, who were on their last legs, and the dogs who had too many legs were stopped in their battle against each other.

He hadn't done this unplanned, all along the road he and...

Chapter 34 / Bloodbath

The closer they got to the center of the city, the more the skies lit up. From their position, they could see mages fighting monsters, their bodies just specks for them. What was awesome to them was the fire, the water and lasers these mages employed. Their shields of rocks and stones that casted shadows on whole houses.

The monsters were equally horrific, with some reaching such a size t...

Chapter 33: Aftermath

Alex came out of the gate to a changed city. What had once been a wide space for the kids to play in had changed into a makeshift shelter for people. All around them houses were toppled over, and some were even burning.

Walking with his team, Alex nodded towards a man bandaging his daughter's arm with a rag. It seemed a piece of wood had hit her, and a steady burst of tears and blood came...

Other information was also exchanged with the clone, they were inconsequential, so after the clone finished preparing his breakfast, he cancelled him.

Releasing a contented sigh from the filling meal, Alex grabbed the twin rapiers off the ground. He bundled them up with the other swords on his back, the next thing he did was check if any valuables were left behind.

And apart from hi...

The road back was oddly peppered with rustled trees and bushes. At times he could spot monsters in the distance dashing or running from place to place. It made him extremely nervous and worried for the farmers and herders.

He even summoned his clones and outfitted them with all their gear, but through it all, not a single monster strayed into the road or tried to attack a cottage.

Chapter 30: Here It Comes

Alex and Julliet sprinted up the hill to Earlshire; the village had a modest wall around it, though the prospect of it defending the inhabitants from Goen Crows was laughable.

Not that it was designed versus an animal that was previously recorded to only target sheep, cows and pigs.

When they reached the wall, it was with utmost relief because an old man was sitting on it. looking a...

Alex's thoughts froze, the suspicious paranoid monster on his shoulder whispering into his ears also stopped cold.

"Excuse me?" Alex replied, his thought plans evaporating into the air. Here he thought she would go away and leave him the fuck alone.

The village chief's wife or daughter opened the door to a rather big house. Alex forwarded his hands to the bland looking woman.
