Here is a miniature but demanding exercise which consists of two arpeggios (A minor and E7).

This little sequence consists of consecutive hammer-ons and pull-offs which are strummed once with the index finger of the right hand followed by a single note on the second string plucked with the thumb. The only exception is at the very beginning when we play only one pull-off.
